Mike, I agree with your message. I do see the child alerts sometimes slip by, if they are noted down before the parent. Dependencies also needs to be extended to Thin AP's that can have the controller as the parent. Zak Kahl Loop1 Systems http://www.loop1systems.com

Thanks Danielle. What a nice surprise!
-
Does anyone know when we can expect this feature?
-
Chrystal, I enjoyed working with you back in 2011, and I remember this story. You had as special eye for tech that Loop1 noticed. I see you all over Thwack as you are one of the top Solarwinds Gurus around. Congrats on Head Geek, well deserved.

Nice idea!

Solarwinds Capacity Planning query SELECT Engines.ServerName AS ServerName, Engines.PollingCompletion AS Polling, ((Engines.Elements *100) / 22700) AS Perc_of_Max, Nodes.PercentMemoryUsed, Nodes.CpuLoad, EnvironmentalOverview.CPUinfo AS CPUs, EnvironmentalOverview.RAMinfo as RAM, Engines.Elements AS Elements, Engines.Nodes…

Let me see see if I can find it. I will look later this evening.
-
I missed that, sorry. But alerting was affected but should have been on Orion.
-
Here is an update. I did open a case and we found could have been related to last upgrade when was problematic. I tried this under web console settings, uncheck "Enable Audit Trails", and re-enabled. About 30 mins later started working. Wanted to post this incase someone else have has same issue I had.
-
Thanks for reply, no I am not talking about report. I would think the report is also affected with my issue since these aren't getting logged in AuditingEvents table. I think an option was accidently changed, I will look to see if I can find it. Or open case if needed.

I thought of an easy fix, but need to test. Have different trigger times on tunnels, ex 5,10,15 min. When one triggers it checks a CP on Node, and if not set then trigger and set CP so others don't trigger. Then afterwards clear CP after reset.
-
Awesome, thanks.
-
Physical good idea, but for ISP interfaces doesn't work all the time. Many times interface is up to to the router but traffic is down.
-
HI Chris, These are GRE on routers, so interfaces on Node. I see ASA and Palo Altos have other solutions.
-
Did you ever find a solution for this? I would like this as well. Thanks Zak
-
Yeah, that is what I did. Added this query in a dashboard. But I don't think the widget exists of what I wanted to do. Thanks for checking
-
I made this, but was hoping to get Orion to graph this. Elements, meant number of elements Poller is monitoring.
-
That is what I am trying to do, from what I can find only Custom SQL for elements but was seeing if someone has away of plotting on same graph. I will see what I can do an maybe 2nd chart if only way. Thanks for looking!
-
Yes, that is close. I have this but want to add Element count per server also to same graph.
-
Very nice report, this will be useful with some forecasting I am working on. Thank you!!

Its a challenge when your company has 100s incidents a day, so you can understand how they can make less incidents when ones already opened. And if assigned user is off that time or day, they want field cleared so someone else can grab incident. I am just Solarwinds Admin, so trying to help here with ServiceNow ticketing
-
Hi Jim, Yes I know this is an option. But our support wants to re-open incident if it re-occurs within 7 days. So just checking all my options.
-
Thanks for link. I will share this with our ServiceNow admin.
-
Thanks for your input Vinay. Yes that maybe our only option is to have ServiceNow do this. We have few NMS using ServiceNow and Zenoss can reset this value but others can't. We may have to look at rules in ServiceNow for this now. Thanks.
-
Hello, I know you didn't get a reply but I have same question also., Did you get yours resolved?
-
Found this below regarding the false ASA failover alerts. Looks like DST on ASAs is causing and workaround for now is to disable DST on the ASAs. https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/Success_Center/NPM/content/release_notes/npm_2020-2_release_notes.htm
-
Where you able to resolve this? I am having same issue. Thanks Zak
-
Sorry, I misunderstood. Orion does have a separate Web Server that can be deployed, and I thought this was what you had. Just update the primary 1st, then upgrade the additional polling engines. When you update the primary polling engine, this will take care of the web console. You should be fine. Zak
-
Hello Krishna, Did you ever get your issue resolved? I am also having same issue. What was the fix? Thanks Zak
-
No, there will be a different package for the web server and for the polling engines. The correct package will need to be applied to each server. Remember to upgrade the primary polling engine 1st, then proceed to the web server and each polling engine. You should do 1 at a time to keep them from trying to access the same…
