I can understand all the issues. We are all in IT and know what can happen, with major or even minor upgrades. I think it would help a lot if SW could give regular updates on the progress. John updated us on Monday, but we have not heard anything since then. Managing expectations is just as important as fixing the isues.

When does the Austin area get some attention?

And I didn't get any points either.

Day 4 was a challenge although, I did get it right. I was sweating that one. Read carefully option 4, It does not mention SCP.

I get it with the world tour and everything this year money can be tight. I do enjoy the camaraderie you have with a physical SWUG event. Being able to connect with other users and SolarWinds personnel in a one-on-one basis is a huge plus. I did enjoy the world tour in Houston, it was great to visit with the various…

For todays, 9/12/2025, question it will not let me select all that apply.

I really like the fact that SolarWinds takes the time to listen to and ask question of their user base. This, unfortunately, doesn't happen with many other companies. I also like the way they run Thwack, it's a unique way to connect with and educate the users. Bravo!

This is nothing new. In the 80's they had tri-rail. The problem is what do you do when you get to the train station at your destination? Public transportation from the station to your ultimate destination is the issue. A lot of times it takes you just as long if not longer to get there depending how far you are from the…

I tried emailing the link you provided and received a bounce back with the following message: The group communityteam only accepts messages from people in its organization or on its allowed senders list, and your email address isn't on the list. I have also previously tried sending a message to thwack.admin@solarwinds.com.…

I second this. I have applications that require specific browsers to use. This would be a great help to me as well.

Same here. I answered the question and added the comment but no acknowledgement.

I also nee multiple charts to be automatically generated for a report. We are looking at weekly bandwidth over multiple nodes. Having the information in a table does not give it the readability of a chart.
-
This is something I can really get excited about.

While tis mission is not as "fun" as some of the other missions in the past, it is very informative. The mission is giving me a better understanding of all the legal hoops we, as IT professionals, have to jump through. Good Job!

This is great news! I know you will be awesome at it!
-
It seems like that has been the case for the whole mission.

I started out as electronics technician. I learned machine code and started writing little programs to help troubleshoot the circuits. When the electronics industry went over seas, I transitioned to IT. I still cannot believe I get paid to play with this stuff.

I went to the Houston event. I highly recommend it. I had access to the program managers and was able to talk to them about some of the things that SolarWinds are missing such as an icon to differentiate muted nodes. Also, if you are invited to the dinner the night before the event, GO! It is well worth your time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Thank you for all the hard work!

Same for me no points added!

Time to geek out with a Raspberry PI 5!

Actually the ideal solution would be for the help desk to have suitably trained personnel to triage the issue using SW and appstack before putting the ticket in a particular queue. I can't count the times that an "app issue" ended up being something else entirely.

I think question 1 is still not working properly. I selected exactly what was shown in the hint and got it wrong. I'd tell you what I selected but I do not want to give the answer away.

We use a recycler to come in and shred the old equipment. The shredded equipment is then recycled and reclaimed as metal plastic etc. It's interesting that while the servers footprint have gotten smaller, more efficient and become virtualized, our computing needs are growing at an incredible rate. The amount of cooling and…
