Although this was 5 years ago, thought I would still offer a comment. I would simply add a "Custom Property" in Orion of something like "Information Only" or "Disable Alerts" as a Yes/No. Then in your alerts configuration just check this property to decide whether to alert or not. Cheers, Aaron

@"tsetchfield" Thanks for the reply, unfortunately 2020.2 HF1 doesn't seem to support mine even after turning health monitoring off and back on. I also tried completely re-adding a node to see if that would resolve it without success. To confirm your results, I have a 2930M which now appears to be no longer be reporting…

NPM 2019.4 Hotfix 2 claims to "improve hardware health for Aruba 2930F and 2930M" but unfortunately I am still seeing hardware health monitor as: "Overall Hardware Status (Node) 'Overall Hardware Status' has state: Unknown." for my 2930F and 5400 chassis switches. Link to HF2 here:…

Unbelievably we are 3 years later and HCO 2023.2.1 still can't poll hardware and health metrics for the above Aruba switch models....

Another bump!!

Thanks snackeye, you have solved my issue. Initially I checked the "view limitations" for the user which were OK, but I didn't think to check the view limitation setting for the specfic page displaying the map. We have a number of pages set with a single group limitation for each of our sites to show maps and nodes for a…

I have a similar but different issue with Maps since the upgrade to 2025.1.1. On most of my Atlas based maps, the group status is not reflected in the map anymore and the hyperlinks are broken. All groups on the map show as a grey status. When attempting to view any intelligent maps I can see the map load in the background…

I'm using a Log Analyzer rule on the SNMP traps to look for a "Tunnel State is Down" in the trap description where Vendor is "Silver Peak". Then link that to an alert. TIP: If you want to track for reset of the alert, you will need to also track the varbind for spsActiveAlarmSeverity.1. When down it is "critical" and…

Thanks for the prompt reply aLTeReGo . We are already running Platform 2018.4 (NPM 12.4). It detects the device but Orion is generating a HARDWARE HEALTH MONITORING is undefined event every 10 mins for the Aruba nodes. Should this be working? I will raise a support ticket as well.

Hi Serena, I have just just found that the "default" view for a device that is not identified correctly is now "ASA View". So all the Access Points I moved to ICMP polling and any not using SNMP is displaying in ASA view which is completely useless for anything other than a ASA firewall. I might log another ticket to get…

Thanks Serena. My ticket number is 1300154

Hi aLTeReGo, Any update on CORE-10706 for those Aruba devices please?

kasaff Thanks for the update and helping to get this issue resolved. FYI: Your link to diagnostics gathering instructions doesn't work for me but I found this one: NPM - How to gather diagnostics - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support

Performed the upgrade this afternoon (NPM, UDT, NTA, NCM). Installer went smoothly and probably around an hour. NPM 12.1 was the old platform and Win 2K16 server. Unfortunately, it created havoc in my environment. My most critical ASA 5520 failover pair became unusable and started rebooting. I had to unmanage them in Orion…

I worked with Solarwinds Support on Tuesday Morning and so far I haven't had a crash since my restart on Monday morning. (* touching wood *) Personally I'm not counting it as fixed yet (although support has closed my ticket), but definitely has run longer than the 48 hours I was getting before then. In case it helps anyone…

Hi All, We are experiencing the same issues as described here since the upgrade to 12.3. The environment Win2016 and SQL 2016 SP1. The crashes are happening approximately every 2 days at the moment. The majority of errors are saying "lost connection to SQL Server" but definitely no issues with out SQL cluster. As a lot of…
