Network Insight for Cisco Nexus = WIN! (though ACI is the Holy Grail) Orion Agent AIX = Almost as big a WIN!
-
Checkpoint. YES. YES. YES.
-
Nope. EIGRP first. As the most widely used internal protocol, it should be next (should have been first!)

I have this problem starting yesterday when I upgraded to NPM 10.2 Did anyone ever open a ticket or find a solution?
-
Same warning here, and my DBAs see issues as well. Guess I'll open a ticket

Let me answer my own question: IUPDATE [MacPrefixes] SET [VENDOR] = 'Vertiv' WHERE MacPrefix = '000068'; This will replace the vendor name of 'ROSEMOUNT CONTROLS' with 'Vertiv' for the MAC prefix 000068. Clearly you COULD do this with any MAC prefix.

I have the same problem with a slightly different manifestation. I cannot use the "Add New Group" button in IE7, or the newest version of Firefox, Chrome, or Opera. Clicking the option results in no change at all, expect in IE7 where the an error icon appears in the lower left. Any ideas?

1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2 for ANY VERTIV/LIEBERT/EMERSON device is 1.3.6.1.4.1.476.1.42 However, all show up in Orion as Machine Type GXT2-2000RT120

I had this issue. I believe it turned out that the data in those files contained information sent by a Call Manager that was not in Orion (I had only 3 of the 5 Call Manager defined as nodes). Since the data could not be imported into Orion, Orion ignored it. Later, I added the Call Manager, and those files were processed.

Tried to push to Redhat 6.5: Failed. Pulled agent install fromRedhat 6.5: Install correctly as best I can tell. Back in Orion, it shows up as a running an connected agent. However, when i click the checkbox next to the server, Choose Resources stays grey. What next?

New user here. In answer to the first question, I think the answer is that you can't. It doesn't seem to have been integrated in that direction. I think the design is for end-users and end-devices, not the servers, though seems like a really easy thing to add. As for the second question, that looks really strange. I can…

I am seeing similar behavior. Currently I have 113 full scans/sec and 5153 index searches. The full scans/sec are always above 50, averaging around 140/sec. Since others are opening tickets, I'll hold off until someone wants other information from my installation. Running SAM 5.5.0, NPM 10.4.2, NTA 3.10.0, IVIM 1.5.0, VNQM…

For the heat maps, it is my understand that only the Cisco wireless controllers gather data about which APs can hear other APs and how well. The map can be built based on that data. If you don't have that data, you'd need to build it all manually by taking readings in every room, which kinda defeats the purpose.

Not sure who may still be interested, but I located this at: 1.3.6.1.4.19.9.91.1.1.1.1.4 Get the data as a table. It will not be pretty. Example: Queried an "ME" (Cisco Metro Ethernet Switch) with just the 2 interfaces: 241, 332,40,-57,-59, 252, 329,139, -71, -98 241 is interface 1's temp (24.1 C) 332 is the voltage…

Warning to anyone with Solaris 11 boxes: This is NOT going to be fixed soon. This is considered a feature request to "add this functionality. They will consider the request, and decide whether it will be implemented." Wow.

NPM 12.1, Mute alerts. Done.
-
Never. Nor do we ever acknowledge alerts. We page/email, and call it good.
-
Looks great. My management is drooling (figuratively). F5 monitoring, Cisco hardware monitoring, better graphs, and subviews are all big hits.
-
Nevermind. I mentioned this to someone in support while I was working on a different problem and it is not really a bug, but it could be handled better. In an example where you are asking for data every 2 hours over the last 3 months, when the database does not have data stored with that granularity (and it won't by…

That's exactly my point. There was no data, so there shouldn't have been anything to act on. But I like your idea of displaying the value used in the decision making. Might explain what happened.
