Agreed. My helpdesk is too glossed over by the number of alerts received because downstream devices alert as well. We have 220 sites with 5 to 10 devices per site. This is a functionality that is desparately needed. Thanks!

I deleted all the data and set it to zero bytes and it instantly detected all of my credit card devices as down. I put some data back in and they were reported as up. I could still ping the devices from the server using the command line but the devices didn't like having a zero data packet. Is Orion doing anything else…

I would say that a private circuit with low utilization should always have a relatively consistent response time, but not necessarily low latency. Is there a reason to have data in the packet at all or is it just for identification purposes? I thought I would keep it at 32 over the wekend and see if that helps but if it doesn't need anything in there I will eliminate it.
