I couldn't agree with you more, rschroeder. A THWACK community knowledge share is always worth attending.

I agree. Additionally, I would also like to be able to read the entire name of the resource as well. I have numerous pages where the first half of the resource names are the same, only differentiating towards the end. Managing those resources is fairly annoying.

skymut ... anything better... um, how about enjoying it anywhere but work... lol Congrats to the winners!
-
jangliss Yes, and I am sure whoever you are buying the product(s) from will, conveniently, have an additional option you can add on, and buy, to accommodate your security concerns... lol...
-
rschroeder No, not really. I am not really concerned with seeing the actual system, as much as I am needing to see how everything in our environment was at a specific time. I really just want a timeline type of thing, that I can dial back, and get a bird's eye view of how all of the devices were. Otherwise, we are stuck…

Why don't my eyes see anything that mentions "sneakernet"?

Great job everyone, and welcome aboard!

This would be a great feature to have. I would also like to be able to remove some of the clutter from those reports too. Having the heading, sub-headings, and sub-sub-headings are just too much.

92... we got another one!!

cjfranca Looks like you accidentally down voted this... please don't join team tedwards, in the fight against us...
-
zackm Well, how about this... Give me some time to think about it, and if I have time, I'll post a reply, and help you "bump" this thread to the front page...

cahunt I agree, however, we just need something.

While we no longer have NTA, I see this same behavior in general, receiving an endless number of alerts for "The database file "D:\Data\SolarWinds_IN_MEM" is running low on space 0." It goes away, comes back, goes away, and on and on and on... I had to dupe the default config and exclude it as well. Oddly enough, as I…

Well, ecklerwr1, the top part of the picture is off to a good start... You really need to stop spamming so much so you're not moderated... Pfft... Such a trouble maker!
-
nickzourdos Hopefully we will see it implemented after they get further with their new UI update project. Sure would be nice to have though...
-
Look at all those little Tie Fighters there... Nice!

jeffnorton The message center, then uncheck all options except for "show audit events", then filter action type and/or user as needed. I agree, in general, this audit information should be much more informative.

justinb@city.ketchikan.ak.us I think that idea would be best for everyone. A good middle ground. Having the ability to use licenses for more important/critical nodes while still maintaining the basic syslog functionality that exists today for any remaining nodes should cover all bases. I sometimes feel bad for some of…

And, while we are working on the notes feature, please allow the "Enter" key to simply place a line return, instead of submitting the note.

"Happy Digital Deadpool Tuesday," thread bump...
-
ecklerwr1 WOW, yeah that person wins, for sure... I mean, how else would you spend ~$20k.
-
silverbacksays I hear ya. ALL FOR THE CAUSE!!
-
Are we there yet?
-
tomiannelli That looks pretty neat...
-
sja Well, I think it's going to get real bad when they shutdown the current/legacy syslog functionality (which has ~12 actions), replace it with a minimal LM version that does NOT do those same actions, AND the minimal LM canNOT be used along with a paid LM license. In other words, when they replace the fully functional…

cobrien Those changes would definitely make an enormous improvement. I know there are a bunch of requests here for the refresh rates to have some connection to/with user accounts and groups, however, I would surely work with it being based on resource and page/view. If I had to say, I suppose I would say your…

mprobus "...turn it over to the true DBAs..." lucky... I have been using DPA for the past 6-9 months now, but I do not have anyone here to look over my work or explain things to me. Although I do venture out into the wild internets, in search of data to fill my head, I often find it confusing to filter the good from the…
