Finally, back to THWACK! Amazing how much work you can get done when there's no distractions around.
-
"Dang, I almost missed today's thread bump, better late than never," thread bump...
-
I think some of the real, full on, character builds are way more expensive, like $7k-$10k or more... Most of the crazies will just buy, or make, the armor, and then put it on a mannequin... Saves a bunch of credits... But still expensive.
-
mattoz No, you don't have access, but the cleaning crew probably needs to empty out that empty garbage can in there that nobody uses... so they can get in there... lol
-
lcoursy I would imagine their goal is to collect accurate and honest data from all of their surveys... Allowing them to make the right improvements more efficiently. I would not think they care AS MUCH as to WHY you are filling out the survey, but more so that your responses to the survey reflected your honest answers. I…

I usually tend to find that most of the "features" or resources needed are the ones that cost $0.03 more than the moneybags are willing to pay for... and therefore money is wasted on a sub-par system that can ALMOST do some of the things that would be beneficial... I reckon I will never understand corporate budgets... why…

Thanks for the recap, as well as another great week of information! Now, throw your keyboard out the window and give your fingers a vacation, adatole
-
I have not... We simply remove all logos from all pages. Since it is basically all or nothing, we opted for the nothing...
-
bobmarley I'm sorry for your loss...
-
fcaron yes, we have been testing it since it opened. Still lacks several features to make it more usable/valuable to us, but overall, we have not had any issues with RC2.

rschroeder Why not use dynamic selections in the NCM jobs, based on custom properties on the nodes? I have almost all of my NCM jobs setup as dynamic selections, which automatically adds new nodes to the job, when the node qualifies with specific (custom) properties. Furthermore, I have found that the real problem shows…

same here, just waiting on them now.
-
Very nice writeup, @"the_ben_keen". Looking forward to part 3.

Well, Radioteacher, it seems we have a similar origin story behind our THWACK names... My name is Will Luther, but here on THWACK, I use the handle wluther. Many years ago, my parents gave me the first name of William. So, I created this specific handle to communicate with the internet, because I'm lazy and…

+1 for bump...?
-
designerfx What version of NPM are you using? I think if you are using 12+, then there are 2 files, located elsewhere, that you need to add in values.
-
hey, you two down pointing arrow guys... change that junk to up pointing arrows... get with the program here!!
-
sja Thank you for pointing that out. I had seen that, but my brain was telling me it was only for all existing alerts. If this works for future alerts too, then it would appear this feature request is null and void... or whatever the saying should be.
-
Good policy, thank you.
-
Hurry up already, February!!
-
At first glance, and a few hours of poking around, it sure does look like it could be a nice fit. Being that this tool has already been around for several years, on the MSP side of SolarWinds, I don't think it will disappoint. (I suppose time will tell...)
-
Okay, I'm on it! Compiling now...
-
Schweet!! All done here too!
-
maria.bungau Yeah, I usually take it out on the weekends and go cruising around town. I would think, by now, people would not be so surprised to see a Stormtrooper riding on a Thomas the Train car thingy... But, I reckon lookers are gonna look, and pointers are gonna point...
-
alexslv I have just been adding "A" as an option, and then I build my reports and alerts to fire off when "A" is detected as the value. It really would be nice to be able to either manually arrange the choices, or at least set the default value to "Choose One", and then not let the person add the node until an actual…
-
wabbott I filled out the survey for the community award, however, I did not find a place to submit the user's name. It seemed like all of the questions were asking for MY information, but I wanted to submit for another person, not myself. Should the questions still be asking for my user info, even if I choose the…

cjfranca I am almost certain there is a timer set between votes, and has been there for at least a year, if not two. A couple of years ago, I believe there was a bug that broke the scoring mechanics, in a way, so this "timer" was implemented to circumvent the bug. However, I thought the timer was only 10-15 minutes…
-
KMSigma I think someone may have swapped the keys around on your keyboard, or maybe auto correct had a hiccup... It seems like you accidentally spelled Texas with an extra "Chicago" in it...
-
Yup!! It would make things so much easier if we had a value to call in a query, similar to how we call a custom property, or any other property. +1 up vote from me!
-
It's okay maria.bungau, we had a mini-intervention, and jeremymayfield is coming to terms with his loss of the laptop... On a side note, I have taken it upon myself to allow visitation rights, via pictures, between Jeremy and the laptop, as it is simply the right thing to do... So, after I win, I will setup a schedule,…
