"If it's not broken, then fix it until it is..." Dunno where I heard that one, but it has been stuck in my head ever since...

Any chance we can just rearrange things so we can leave the mission critical systems alone, and only lose the social media outlets (minus Thwack, of course) and cruddy TV lineups...? I suppose, when it does happen, we will all have new jobs that day... lol

Wait a minute here... DanielleH, why is SolarWinds not monitoring that server on that vendor's network? lol... "Unfortunately, our server went offline on August 28th and we have been working with our other vendor to get it up and running."

#bumpsquad, assemble!!!

Congrats j_dennis... I'm super jealous!

This is the single most useful feature NCM is currently missing... at least to me... Currently, I use a combination of NCM Compliance reports, device configs, and SQL scripts to accomplish some pretty "simple" tasks, due to not having this native feature.

bluefunelemental Or, perhaps there could be some option/setting that would allow each user to correlate thwack data better, based on which SolarWinds modules that user is working with. Similar to the "SOLARWINDS PRODUCTS OWNED" area in our user profiles, only make it functional, in a way that would link data better/more…

Yup, I totally hear you on that branfarm, and I completely agree with you.

Let's see how far this one can get today, in the spotlight... Current stats:
-
You start the same way you would start anything else in the tech world... Step 1) Open browser Step 2) Go to google.com Step 3) Open as many tabs as possible, and spend the next 3 weeks going through each tab, opening 5-10 more tabs from each page... See, easy!! I have found it far easier to build very specific projects,…

branfarm While I know this is a feature request for NPM, on a per OID basis, you can actually build SNMP monitors in SAM. But only for single objects, not tables or anything else too fancy... But, and I'm guessing here, if they already have the ground work laid out for this functionality in SAM, I would presume it will…

And, just like that, KMSigma answers the call, and breaks our 3 day voting stand still, bumping us up to 91!!

bsciencefiction.tv, what about those oldschool ps/2 keylogger devices, and similar devices? I thought those old analog-ish devices were not detectable, other than visually...

"Yeah, what Nick said yesterday," thread bump...

mmcdonaldion I completely agree with you on this. I have exactly the same issue. Having agents poll our servers, and being able to view the services/processes running on each server, I'd also like a quick and easy way to be alerted with valid data. I know we can add each of the processes to be monitored, for each of the…

New THWACK store swag, of course!! That's what we're all waiting for!!

These events only cost your time to travel/attend. There is no charge to actually attend the event itself.

Already got +2 front page up votes... Now we are sitting at 92.

Well, how about that, this thing actually, and surprisingly, already exists... It looks like it was just hiding in plain sight. Adding Custom Tabs To The Top Level Nav Bar

"Thank you to frazdave for the vote yesterday, and tony.johnson for the vote today... But wondering why tedwards thinks this is not a good idea..." morning thread bump. Thomas, as an employee, can you give us some insider info as to why you voted this idea down? I'm not complaining, as we all have different opinions,…

"AAAGGHHH... Working on a Friday" morning thread bump...

wondering how long something needs to remain on the top of the users voting list before it is implemented... any word from SW?

"Buried under too much work", thread bump...

Best prizes yet...!

"Jfrazier must have a bunch of TPS reports to catch up on", morning thread bump...

Keeping it as simple and realistic as I can, at least in my world, this is how it plays out for us. Through the admins/users point of view: * Reliability * Ease of use * Support/Training Through the people writing the purchase orders: * Money * Does it show us flashing green lights * Do we really need all those things that…

"Holy smokes, we're finally here!!!," thread bump...
