I believe you can do this through automation rules. So you set a condition and then an action, which could be send a notification to x. Hope this helps

I had this issue, but this is possible in some places and not others. Also there are 3 vertical dots in some of the filters that lets you see only active items like users and groups. This was something that I wasn't aware of for a while.
