Mine is random as well. My db is on a remote machine.

We are trying to do this. How do you do the executable that does all that with Remedy?
-
I would like to see if we can do it on here...im in no rush right now so maybe if others are seeing it like sotherls then we can all find it on thwack so you guys dont have to keep getting tickets and calls..

1.2 works pretty well. But groups should definetly be high priority. EOC is pretty unusable for us in the current form because of having to add every user 1 by 1. if we could pull in AD groups it would take no time at all to do the accesses. plus when someone new comes in we dont have to run through the maze of creating…

Was there a fix to this? I am having the same issue on 9.5sp5. A whole bunch of down nodes with green lines in between them. I am associating the interfaces on the routers. thanks.

Everything seems to be up. just a problem with interfaces. i put in a ticket this morning though so we will see if we can get it fixed. thanks willi

Top 10 are EOC_TrapVarbind , EOC_Event , EOC_Trap , EOC_Syslog , EOC_InterfaceCore , EOC_INterfaceCustomProperties , EOC_NodeCore , EOC_NodeCustomProperties , EOC_OrionCustomPollerAssignment , EOC_VolumeCore

sounds great. this would make EOC a million times better and save me some time to do some work on the maps and such rather than spend extra time adding and changing users. Thanks

I added a new server in today. It pulled in all the nodes, but did not get any of the interfaces. so it seems to be an issue with eoc getting anything to do with those interfaces (status, new ones, anything). any ideas?

only gotcha I can think of is when the web client is hitting the site, whether the browser makes calls directly to the DB or if it all goes through the web server....but I would expect it all to go through the web server.... This was one of our questions on it. was whether it went through the web server or if it would have…

cant do a screen shot since it is on a closed network. pretty much just has it in big red text in the Global Active Alerts section on my home page.. Thanks, Willi

I may be wrong but what you are describing is what the new EOC is supposed to be doing for us. It is for geographically distributed networks. that helps unify remote npm servers. check it out on the sw website. there is even a trial that may work for you.
-
are you guys planning on doing AD groups or an everyone soon? with a couple hundred users on our eoc, it is tedious to add them then go in and have to add credentials one by one for each of the 5 NPM servers. not to mention when a password is changed and we have to go back through them all to update them.

We are on 10.1. havent done anything with it lately. It shows that it is polling the servers correctly, but just doesnt seem to be getting the correct statuses nor is it pulling in new interfaces that we added.

I had the same issue with the user not being granted the requested logon type. One work around that may not work for some is to give authenticated users read access to the website directory.

The easiest way to do this is with the new EOC. http://www.solarwinds.com/products/orion/eoc/index.aspx?CMP=ILC-hp_promo_eoc_learn. It is supposed to have a main site that gathers info from the remote sites like a master db. But if the link goes down between one of the servers and your master that site will still be able…
