I have 10.5 and I keep getting triggered alerts for my ten gig ports. I need to make all these go away and make the device not have issue. We are going to put this in our Operations area and they will get confused if they see these alerts.

Which view are you talking about?? If you are talking about the map we added each node using an excel spread sheet and lat and long. The view comes with SolarWinds 10.7/

Loopback interfaces never go down unless you shut them. They are for routing purposes. The Null interface is for traffic that gets dropped. I really do not see the need to monitor these interfaces. Our NOC View is simple since we have only 1 Data Center. Due to our High Density there is no way to do a cool picture with links because it would be too busy for our operations.

I am also looking for this to work. I tried this http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/3115/Enabling+audible+alerts+%28Play+a+Sound+action%29+on+Windows+Server+2008 but I still do not get the sound on the users side.

Dario, How are your devices connected? Are you running DMVPN using MPLS, BGP and EIGRP? I have over 150 sites and we monitor the tunnels and if they go down it will be displayed in our NOC but it will not send an alert. We created an alert that will only send an alert if the link flaps more than 10 times in an hour this…
