I have issue with the June 26 question as well. I watched the embedded video which only notes two of the answers so I went with that, which was wrong. Why is there a difference between the video and text?

I'm not a DBA, but we have a working SWQL query in an email from a UPS Alert. I'm not sure it will help, but I'll put the code we use here for your review. Nothing special in the alert email config, just set to HTML, which you said yours is set to as well. Alerting Device Name: ${N=SWQL;M=SELECT…

What model switch are you updating, and what is the full command line in your template? You should be able to add multiple devices to a single job, which will perform the update (file transfer) serially. However, the drawback is that if a failure occurs, it will halt the remainder of the job.

It looks like you may be passing the '%' from the SYSLOG messages into the log and alert, and I'm wondering if that is the issue? I have basically the same setup and we get good messages passed across using the above noted variable. Example code config in Alert (left) and Emailed message from event (right)

Run the configuration wizard and change your login format on the Main Poller and all Additional Polling Engines.

Excellent!

I wonder if Orion is dropping it because your Kiwi server isn't a monitored node? I'm not sure how forwarding would show up to the Orion system so maybe it's not an issue, but you might check to see if your Kiwi IP is getting dropped as an unmonitored log sender. ALERTS & SETTINGS | SYSLOGS | SETTINGS | MANAGEMENT | SHOW…

Could your browser be zoomed in to far? Maybe try resetting the zoom by "CNTRL 0" or zooming out by "CNTRL - ". The search bar should be in the grey area directly next to the "MANAGE ANONMALY-BASED-ALERTS" button. I'm on 2023.4.2 and have the Search box.

I think it will depend on your install and where your actual .exe is located. Another issue could be the timing you have allowed for the collection of the data to then attach to the email. Make sure you allow enough time for the process data to be collected before you fire off the email with the stats. My main poller: My…

Is your path correct for the process capturing in the level 1 escalation step? Example from my environment: C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\SolarWinds.APM.RealTimeProcessPoller -n=${NodeID} -alert=${N=Alerting;M=AlertDefID} -alertId=${N=Alerting;M=AlertID}

Look into creating a Compliance report if you have not already. We use them for very similar functions.

We had a similar, if not same, issue as noted in our ticket (01299411). Per this forum post (Timeouts) we found the config update posted by @"ragetank" corrected our issue as well. TL;DR - Run config wizard on all your pollers and change your database login format from domain\user to the UPN format of user@domain. Once we…

Just wanted to chime in and say thank you as well. We've been fighting this issue since at least March (01299411), but after running config wizard on all our nodes and changing over to UPN format we appear to have stabilized. The pages seem snappier too :)

Same here. We upgraded to 2022.4.1 and HCO license at the same time and have had some stability issues. I ran config wiz last night to see if it would help out and noticed this same error when it completed.

Thank you again for the help Chris. I wound up generating new code to accomplish this task but without your assistance I would still be banging my head on my keyboard trying to figure this out. Here is my final code for future readers who may have a similar need. The template is applied to Windows 2012 and 2016 servers and…

From my experience with updating IOS code via Solarwinds I have two issues of concern and I believe both could be corrected with some new coding (I'm not a coder). My first issue is that my edge locations vary in latency and we don't set a transfer blocksize in our standard config, so I have to test a locations…

Thank you Kung-Fu master Powershell guru Christopher for your reply and code. I've swapped files in and out in my test folder and I"m getting good responses I can alert from now FYI for future forum readers if needed. Since I am applying the template to a system to run against, I swapped in my "home" IP in the script to…

Thank you for the update steps! This resolved our issue to see the shared Thwack templates, but more importantly, it also resolved our issue with communicating with the Solarwinds License Manager which was preventing us from bringing in a new APE.
