Well our server was running kind of slow and i noticed our memory usage was at a 95% average, so we double the memory and everything is running a lot faster so we'll see if maybe it was because the server couldn't keep up?
-
Yea ive actually been starting to add more of our VMs to manage since we only had a few of them managed (added about 50 new ones over the last 2 days ), but they are all statically assigned so they should have changed during his updates
-
No worries, I was puzzled when i couldn't create the jobs or manage nodes through NCM too Glad I could help ^^

The person from SolarWinds that was trying to get us to buy it kept emailing me about when we were going to make our purchase. I told her that at its current form we simply can't go along with it because: 1) its kind of buggy 2) no answers from support or on thwack about it 3) I don't think there has been a update in over…

Was thinking maybe they rebooted quickly enough that it didn't need to fire the alert? but he said about 20 mins later i think he got a few of the alerts (he's out of the office atm so i'll have to ask him more details later) I'll keep snooping around
-
Just check and didn't have anything that stuck out. I just send out the alert once and no repeats
-
Try using SNMPv1 with the credentials, if you need the UNDPs for them i posted my own here: MINUTEMAN SNMP-NV6/SNMP-NET.UnDP
-
you hear anything back yet?
-
I was gonna ask the same thing this morning
-
Hey curtisi thanks for the help! edock is actually my coworker so i've been trying to help her out too I'm brand new to LEM so its been a bit of learning curve from the other SW products I think we were able to get it to work somehow? its just been kinda buggy, because i had all those steps done before and didn't tweak…
-
Click Add server then add your SW SQL server with the correct credentials and it'll give you the tables you can access.
-
At least you're honest
-
Do you have a estimate when everything will get back to normal? I noticed ya'll disabled those accounts posting all those bogus korean pages already
-
Yea i ran into the generic notification, but supposedly the techs said you can't change that. I'm sure there is a way to do it by digging in pretty deep, so if you find out how to do it, let me know
-
Yea I ended up solving it later that afternoon, but thanks!
-
So I guess they took down the download but I think you can ask the guy on this page: Is Free Mobile Monitor for NPM or SAM still available for NPM License Looks like He will give the link to customers asking about it because FMM is no longer in development
-
you're running 40k elements on 1 polling engine? and what are your server's specs?
-
I really wanted the lab coat and shirt, hoping they eventually get a nice button down shirt
-
We actually just purchased an ASE because our NPM instance was right at the 10k Elements Like mentioned by everyone else an element is pretty much anything you are monitoring with (in our case) NPM so 1 Node is an element, each of the interfaces under the node IE switch ports, volumes, etc. is an element. So in theory one…
-
Select the " Only following set of objects " and you'll get the following: In this instance if the node is down AND the node's name is equal to (you could also do different conditions if you wanted) and in my case it is a black line to protect my company but in your case just put in the specific node he wants. THEN: You'll…

No problem if it was correct just make sure to change the question status to answered, so others don't necessarily need to check if this has been answered or if they need help with it they can just look at the answer
-
That worked for me thanks for the help! i was completely stumped, because i deleted the AD account from everything i could think of in Orion :/
-
i recommend creating some dependencies too, especially if you have servers on esx hosts, devices hooked on switches, etc. it'll also help when something big goes down and you don't get flooded with alerts when something does go down
-
can you take a screenshot of your account settings? I vaguely remember having similar problem a long time ago... Make sure you open the NCM settings dropdown and make sure administrator is set.so it should look as follows,
-
Perhaps your license on SolarWinds might've run out? you could check by looking on your Customer Portal account on SolarWind's website: Customer Portal Login | SolarWinds , Just throwing my 2 cents out there
-
Yea I was contacted by the tech center in the Philippines but I don't mind, after all I am filipino too (maybe a bit bias towards my own people? ) but yea I could understand if they couldn't get a hold of the customer and just closing the case. I tried to keep in contact via email and after a few days where I hadn't…
-
Seriously that would be nice. I've been trying to set up those dependencies, but with vmotion running and migrations taking place alot its been annoying to have to manually change the custom properties for all of my vms... :/ but yup even before looking at thwack that was the same conclusion I came too, just hoping someone…
-
yea we just purchased one today, but i was hoping to read up on some documentation before I deploy it once the PO goes through
-
Yea i managed to get an extension on my trial by talking to a solarwinds rep, but all the questions i had about the product weren't answered so i'm kind of assuming the same thing. It does have some cool features, but with the bugs i've found and lack of support i probably won't be pushing for us to get this for our company
-
never mind i figured it out on my own
