Are you talking about Application Summary view ? or is it a custom view ? can you paste the view that you are trying to access or can you provide me which tab are you clicking on?
-
probably this happens when there are more number of objects to be displayed on App view, if you have a Test environment check the same. If not, on prod get onto App view and remove few resources from the view (like whats new in SAM from column 2 and Active Application Alerts from Column 1 etc etc - you can re-add them…
-
What all have you tried so far? 1. Did you remove the monitors and add them again onto the node ? 2. Rather than re-installation, why don't you try the below steps: Remove the monitors/template assigned to the node Stop Orion services, give it 5 mins time and then start the services Assign the template again and do not…

You can create a component monitor down alert accordingly once you configure the monitors in SAM and deploy it onto the AD node.
-
Monitor the relevant Event Ids using SAM and fetch what ever data you are looking for Windows Security Log Event ID 4740 - A user account was locked out Windows Security Log Event ID 4720 - A user account was created
-
Yes, this can be done. 1. Settings -> Manage Groups -> Add New Group 2. Give the Parent Group Name and description -> Next (which is Add Orion Objects) 3. Here under Available Objects , Show Only: select 'Groups' from the drop down and follow the normal process to create your parent group

How are you performing the discovery is it for the entire subnet or IP range or IP List ? If possible change your rule - perform the discover on set or IPs or for a range (probably 50 nodes), the issue could be due to few IP's (i mean end devices) in your discovery rule, probably the end devices might not be responding…

Hover's are cool, but then what's under Actions is what im interested in . Is it the standard 'more actions' or would you extend it to include edit properties, unmanage, remanage and list resources ?

Hi nan I have another query - I haven't taken SCP NPM or SCP SAM, but my old SCP certification is still valid, should i clear SCP NPM and then go for Design and Architecture exam or based on my existing SCP Certification can i take this exam. Thanks in advance. Regards Vinay BY

Hi nan, How about MVP's ? Do we have a free take for SCP Architecture and Design ? If so do we have a different procedure to register for the same?
-
You need to check for inset variables on your trigger action page, to make this easy assuming you already have the custom values you require (you have created undp pollers for the same). Go to Trigger action and check for the variables available for you to insert in your alert , build the variables you are interested in…

But I am not sure if the data can be used for QoE - wait until others comment on this post

I guess its already in place if you are using latest version of NPM NPM 12.1 Sneak Peek – Meraki Wireless Monitoring https://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-176899#start=325 Re: Meraki MR34's And NPM The above threads will help you more with what you are looking for.
-
As far as I understand you have several demo links, but then you wont have admin access through it. You can only view what Solarwinds is capable. Is that what you are looking for or do you want an hands on as well ?
-
I haven't tested it so far, will check and let you know.
-
Should be able to, but then it isn't a good approach as its specific. You can place a filter condition (which is your node name) - I have tested it though But remember these are generic views that we are talking about - it would as we have a dependency on accounts they are linked with.
-
Ok, try the below steps: 1. Settings -> Manage Views -> Add New View 2. Give the name of the view and select the type of view you want , click on submit 3. Check Enable left navigation (by default it would be unchecked) 4. Of left navigation panel , click on + Add tab, Give the Tab Name you want, select the Tab Icon you…

Check for 'Views' in NPM Admin guide.
-
Approximately how many nodes do you have in your setup ?
-
If what I am suspecting is the root cause of the issue, then you will have to break the report into multiple reports based on some filtering conditions. This would reduce the weight on your query and the report would work as expected.
-
Its just a guess , but then I am suspecting you query might be pulling huge number of records (note: in preview mode it would only list about 15 records and hence it works good) , check if the report works fine for a single node by applying a condition in your query or running this for selected nodes. Try reducing the time…

AppOptics is not a traditional Enterprise Monitoring tool (unlike SAM or NPM or VMAN), its part of Solarwinds Cloud products. Learn more through the link pasted below Application Performance Management & Server Monitoring | AppOptics

That's the last data the node ever collected (when node was up and running). Even though the node is currently unreachable or down last collected CPU data would still reside in DB.

The alert that you have mentioned looks like an alert on a group rather than that on the individual server/node. 1. Check "Status rollup mode on your group" under Manage Groups -> Edit that Group -> Advanced 2. Looks like you are asking 2 different questions on the same thread , the alert that is being fired is for an…
-
Use a workaround for it, create a custom sql report that will pull all alerts from the db (provide specific conditions as required) and link this up to a webpage (using views create a view which will display this Alert report on your Solarwinds GUI), create a report schedule to send a pdf of this web page to you on an…

Could you populate the SWQL query on this post and mark your response as correct, as it would be helpful for others who come across this post. Thanks in advance.
-
Yes, use built in variables for it, just add it onto your alert message or action which is being fired 1. Use a 'Component' Type alert 2. I guess these are the variables to print the values that you are looking for -> ${N=SwisEntity;M=ComponentAlert.StatisticData} and ${N=SwisEntity;M=ComponentAlert.ComponentMessage}

Please find the answer below: 1. GUI - Under Manage Nodes -> Group by : SNMP Version -> you would see labels listed with 0,1,2,3. Click on 0 its as good as non SNMP Servers. 2. If you want to go with Report Writer -> Create a Inventory Report -> Under Filter Results create a filter -> Object Type is not equal to SNMP (You…

1. I would prefer alerts being more generic than the specific, specific alerting at times can be a mess and difficult to maintain in a huge environment 2. We generally have 2 sets of Generic Alerts, the first one for business critical apps and devices and second set for rest of them in our environment. 3. Its equally…
