Check Settings ->Customize Menu bars (Under Customize Navigation & Look) , I don't think you can create a menu bar (tab - as referred by you), but then you can create labels under an existing menu bar (tab) and link it to a view you want. (Custom view built by you or an existing view which you might want to re-use) Hope it…

I dont quite understand what exactly you are looking for but I am assuming you are using the Web Reports, if its a simple Interface utilization report you can still create the same using Report Writer (Login into your Solarwinds Server -> Start -> All Programs -> Solarwinds Orion -> Alerting,Reporting, and Mapping ->…

The attachment shows complete lifecycle of Solarwinds NPM. In simple terms say you have added a linux server/node onto Solarwinds and you are monitoring CPU/Memory utilization of that server/node, Collector polling controller will pick the information (Linux Server - CPU, Linux Server-Mem) and ask Job Engine to poll the…

Get the OID, get onto Universal Device Poller from your primary poller and look for the same.
-
You would need to verify the same in 2 more sections - Did you check Trigger Condition and Trigger Actions section on your NPM Alert ? If its not set under Trigger Condition , then please go ahead and check if there is a delay on your email action under Trigger Actions:
-
I currently don't have an active solarwinds instance, if not I could have helped you with it
-
Looks like you are going in circles, why don't you use 'Message Center' ? if trap is hitting solarwinds orion then you can view it on 'Message Center' and the same can be used by your NOC folks. The condition drafted by you isn't 'Netperfmon Event logging' it writes the same onto 'Windows Event logs'

Keep checking for the cool features though

'Create -> Feature Request' on thwack
-
Agree with you, that's the reason they have AD in place. Post it as an 'Idea' on thwack and list this as a feature request in NPM.
-
If I am not wrong you would need 3 separate licenses in that case - but then its always good that you reach out to Solarwinds support/service/sales for licensing questions.

I doubt on that. But the query that I have pasted will work for sure. I have tested it for one of my alerts. In case you think my response was helpful or correct, please mark the thread as helpful or correct. Thanks

You can achieve this by a Cutom SQL Alert in your Advanced Alert Manager Type of property to monitor : Custom SQL Alert Set up your trigger Query: Node Use the below query in your alert: WHERE ( (Nodes.Status = '2') AND (Nodes.IP_Address = '10.X.X.1') ) AND EXISTS (SELECT Nodes.Caption AS NodeName, Nodes.IP_Address AS…

It actually depends on case to case basis, do you see an error if so whats the error ? What component monitor are you talking about ? It could be an issue with WMI classes as well, add another test template on the node and include the same monitors that's there in third template onto the test template. Check the trend, if…

Under Trigger Condition of your alert - place a wait period for 5 mins accordingly as shown on the image

As far as I understand SolarWinds NPM/SAM doesn't support rancher monitoring at the moment, but i did read a post which might help you with it https://thwack.solarwinds.com/community/solarwinds-community/product-blog/blog/2017/08/30/creating-a-simple-docker-template deepthiks -try checking the same with aLTeReGo, he…

and for NPM on demo -> My Dashboards -> Network -> NPM Summary play around with the demo, its self explanatory.... Hope it helps
-
Play around with -> http://oriondemo.solarwinds.com/ In general terms NPM is best suited for monitoring Device Up/Down, CPU, Memory, Disk and lastly interfaces (up/down, utilization, bandwidth etc), now when it comes to the interfaces NPM provides you with a high level overview on what's happening with on the interface, if…

Point 1: Place the template on preferred node only (do not deploy this template onto Secondary node)
-
Check out the below options, they are a little trivial but then they would work for sure: 1. Create a Windows Service Monitor , provide your instance details and place this template on the preferred node. You can alert on Component Status Down (this would fire an alert when instance moves onto the secondary) 2. If not find…

Check out the video's to get an overview of what its capable of , post which you can start playing around with it using the admin guides for each module.

Thanks byrona , let me know how the installation goes and what ports did you open for the same.
-
As far as I understand Additional poller port's aren't different from main poller port's - you would find complete details in the below document http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/SolarWindsPortRequirements.pdf
