I see that they have pitched in with great views, maybe it could a simple thing after all (I could be wrong) - make sure patching is completed on this server of yours and reboot it once. Post reboot check this again. Hope this helps.

Add external websites to the SolarWinds Platform Hope this helps. If your use case is different then please ignore the same. __PRESENT

Settings -> Managed Nodes -> Search for the device Name Once you find the device you will have a small drop down next to the device like this > Click on > (this will show on the left hand side of the device name) Now you should be able to view the interfaces, select the unknown ones Hit on delete. __PRESENT__PRESENT

HCO is its own product :) , I am getting old lol - Thank you @"cheryl1" that's a great explanation of what it is in reality.

This is quite a large topic, lets break it down a bit: 1. Firstly, standalone modules - choose on your own based on your companies' requirements and cost factor - which is where you currently are - you own only 2 modules which is NPM and NTA and probably you only do Network Infrastructure Monitoring mostly with some…
-
Add a label here: Add An Action -> Tag the entry -> Create a new label called 'Circuit Outage' with any color that you like
-
7, this is taken care by SolarWinds automatically

It actually depends, do you as well have NTA in your environment ? __PRESENT

(4.84 + 6.70) / 2 -> 11.54 / 2 -> Which is 5.77 Add 4.84 and 6.70 and then Divide it by 2 4.84+6.70 = 11.54 11.54/2 = 5.77 (Your final value)

Its a great way to put it :) , even though your question is a one liner there are 1000s of questions within it :) To answer this firstly you need to know what SolarWinds can achieve, what are the modules it has and how does it really work in principal. If you aren't aware of the modules then its a bit challenging to…

That is not how it works 1. Total Average BPS (Transmit + Receive) = (((Average Transmit BPS) + (Average Receive BPS)) / 2 ) Which is correct 2. If I have to quote an example - Say suppose you are polling this information for 25 mins where polling interval is 5 mins each so 5 data points - Interface A - Transmit BPS values…

Open the cmd prompt on the box from where you need to check this and do a simple - 'tracert <IPAddress>' this should give you a sense of route from where you should be able to identify which firewall falls inbetween with a little help from required teams within your firm (someone who knows the firewall should be able to…

To the best of my knowledge there isn't an ETA for feature requests as such, you make a valid point but then I guess this is just one such platforms where SolarWinds might pick a few ideas/feature requests onto the drawing board and probably check its feasibility. There could be several other areas from where they pick…

Do you have Additional Web Servers in your environment ? And do you access your SolarWinds page using the same ? I had similar issue in the past with groups and it seemed like the issue was with Additional Web Server and not SolarWinds. If you have AWS then try restarting services, best case would be to reboot if possible…

Hmm I cant help you completely here as I don't know if what I am saying is 100% accurate. Run an inventory job on one of your stacked switches. And check if details of the members appear in NCM.EntityPhysical. The EntityName with Switch1% or Chassis1% are the members on your stacked switch. I don't think you have a direct…

Why aren't you using the default ways for interface up/down alerting ? Why a SQL Alert ? Is it something to do with the way its currently setup ? Lets say suppose your polling devices once in 300 seconds (5 mins polling interval). Create a alert for Interface and in your Trigger Condition use 'Condition must exist for more…

Not that I am aware of on Managed nodes, but you can add it onto the node view and it will automatically appear on each and every node page if its applicable. You can view the undp pollers and/or their values.

This might help - Repair a failing Job Engine, Collector, and Information Service in the Orion Platform (site.com) But I would still suggest you connect with SolarWinds and raise a case with them. __PRESENT__PRESENT__PRESENT__PRESENT

1. First alert that you are talking about is a 'Node' based alert - which is why ${N=SwisEntity;M=CustomProperties.Address} is working. 2. The second alert that you are talking about is a 'Interface' based alert - try using ${N=SwisEntity;M=Node.CustomProperties.Address} (you are trying to use the value of custom attribute…

If you need a more detailed version of what I mentioned, then this is what I have been following for years as best practice and I have never got into trouble so far: 1. Stop High Availability service on all - where ever you have it, be it Main Poller or Additional Poller 2. Shutdown services on all additional pollers 3.…

Find the crono below: 1. Additional Poller (Stop SolarWinds services - don't reboot VM/Server), after all services are stopped go to Step 2 2. Main Poller (Stop SolarWinds services - don't reboot the VM/Server), after all services are stopped go to Step 3 3. Reboot your DB Server - Check if your DB Server has restarted…

1. Did you try rebooting your Main Poller and Additional Poller ? That isn't the fix, but then did you try rebooting them and then running a check ? 2. Do you have anything running on your VM's ? (Main Poller or Additional Poller). Like say suppose any anti virus software or Windows Defender/Firewall etc ? Next step would…

You are probably right, have a look at the below link that might help you in creating the same JUNOS Device Studio poller for OS version (site.com)

I am assuming you installed Kiwi Syslog Server Free Edition (Legacy software) as mentioned in the below link you will see the difference between Free vs Licensed https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/kss/content/kss_installguide_feature_comparison.htm Try installing the latest one - 'Kiwi Syslog Server NG'…

Maybe a stupid query - did you try deleting the log files while you were trouble shooting? Delete log files (InformationServiceV3.log,InformationServiceV3.log.1,InformationServiceV3.log.2,InformationServiceV3.log.3,InformationServiceV3.log.4 and InformationServiceV3.log.5). And place a blank file with that…

You can do so, but then a simple reason as to why we keep them on the same Windows version is patching and maintenance of your servers or VM's (it's much easier to diagnose the problem and apply a fix across). I am sure SolarWinds has matured enough now, but then in the past, I have seen cases where patches use to mess up…

In that case the easiest way would be to re-add the node (assuming there is no automation), add the node again and apply what ever is relevant and then delete the existing one - please treat this as a workaround, I know it isn't a great suggestion though.
