Love this idea @tobyw_loop1 :)
-
@Onyxinator - makes sense there should be a toggle somewhere in settings to turn this on/off
-
Thanks for sharing @kritin.padington

@deepak_sh41 - sounds like a good ask :) Even though we have ways to tweak this in SolarWinds it isn't something that can be easily achieved using the built-in functionality, we will need to build our own custom way to achieve this at present. I like your idea :)

@nicokempe - This would be a great add on, nice one. AlertStack does exactly the same thing, gives a nice little view at the bottom of the screen which shows a pictorial representation of all connected network objects while the issue was there. Plus you can go back in time when it first started. But the problem with…

Hello @thwackahsanpk Custom alerts - depends not everything is proactive here: Syslog to alert SNMP Trap to alert Generic ones which could be proactive, apart from the ones that you have mentioned: Interface bandwidth alerts Interface errors and discards alerts If you have Cisco Stacks in your environment, then: Stack…

Hello @akshayntil There are several ways to do this (Groups, Modern dashboard etc). The simplest is as mentioned below: As you mentioned you have a custom property which has the tenant, you don't need to build anything, you can just goto Manage Nodes - > Group By Filter → Tenant (Select your custom property) and you can…

And even with Cisco it might not be that straight forward :), if you have a Cisco stack switch the Service Tag doesn't help as there could be multiple physical switches on the same stack and serial numbers are obviously different as it's a different piece of hardware. Hence there isn't a straightforward approach to this,…

Hi @ahutch43 When you run API calls from external systems have you marked Validate SSL to true? Maybe this is what is causing the issue.
-
hi @surnaihai899 - if you are looking for a automation script ignore the below manual steps. Well I am assuming you are already aware of this but still. This should be pretty simple from SolarWinds GUI as well. If you already have a free custom property good, if you dont have it create one. Since you already have the list…

Hi @magdaka Sorry I didn't get you, can you tell me more about it.

Duplicate post: I have responded on the other one as well. @utande - check in SolarWinds if all interfaces are discovered and if L2&L3 topology is enabled under list resources. SolarWinds uses SNMP to collect this information and if all interfaces between the devices are discovered it will populate on maps, as well check…

You can as well manually create the missing links on maps, but if you are looking at automated no manual maps then that isnt advised.

@utande - check in SolarWinds if all interfaces are discovered and if L2&L3 topology is enabled under list resources. SolarWinds uses SNMP to collect this information and if all interfaces between the devices are discovered it will populate on maps, as well check map properties on the right hand side, I am assuming you…
