I totally agree on this issue. From day one when we have been testing alerts, we've seen similar issues. You may be selecting the proper node, volume, interface, etc, but the alert pulls information from what seems to be the first available data in the the particualar tables. It does seem like it should be considered a…

Has Anyone found a "easy" way around this until this standard feature for other monitoring systems is added? Also, I'd love to know when this is finally going to get added in...going back and looking at some of these blogs and post on Alert Suppression and Node Dependencies, people have been asking for this for 5 YEARS!!!!…

Are there plans to add more Breakouts for other vendors? Like HP devieces..instead of showing up as 'HP Switch' they'll show up as 'HP 2610-48-PWR' ? Just want to know cause I'll have a long list of items to get added in, or broken out.

That doesn't seem to be true. I have a log for stuff that was completed from a desktop browser, but when there is an error it is not logged. See's like a bug to me. Why have a log that doesn't post information when it fails.

If you have a very large network and using the White paper would create multiple alerts seems unfeasable, we have implemented dhardy's resolution found here....

I have found that when you want to upgrade a node from ICMP to SNMP, simply adding the device again, with out deleting it, keeps historical data on that node. Now I have never done the reverse, but I was running into the same issue..losing historical data and then having to populate all custom properties again. Simple but…

Yes, these are thick AP's. Yes it does support the 802.11 MIB. When I browse the device with that OID, it is returning information.

I have the same issue on a 310B, but also on all my Fortinets (50B, 60, 60A, 60B, 60B Wifi, 100A, 200A). Seems that Orion does not recognize CPU/Memory.

thanks for the reply. I will take that query into consideration. In the coming months we will have a "sand box" so to speak of the SQL database, an exact copy that's not live, so we can test queries without harming the live environment. This will be one that is high on the list to make our upcoming tasks easier.

Took a bit to totally to verify out logic, but Works like a charm!

I am also at this point and cannot find a straight answer as to what to do to inegrate all the modules on my additional web server. What recommendations do you have? I have already successfully integrated the NCM and moved the certificate...do the others follow the same process? Thanks!
