Well there was a release in December, may have fixed my issue but lost faith. So much so that I would not even put them on my list if we were replacing "Opmanager" Rob
-
using HP.Switch.Others

Well I am giving up on CAT TOOLS ( at least for PALO). Impressed with " Opamnager NCM " does a nice job of backing up the palo alto

enabled on our other F/W and backup taking place. Rob

I can't see that you ever got this working. I did with a bit of work. Standard Prompts enable prompt ] console prompt > username prompt as: password prompt password: VARIATIONS: Full Prompts>Full Enable Prompt> <switchname> Additional Commands>Disable paging> screen-length disable Additional Commands>show startup config>…

RC3.11 does appear to have fixed the issue with the Fortigate 5.2.x Firmware. I have reverted to SSH2 in CatTools after the install and the backup works without issue. Cheers Rob
-
Enabled on our Disaster Site Unit and it's backing up now. Just waiting on change control to enable on our primary site. Cheers Rob

We getting loads of incorrect config change notifications. When we look at the report, there is parts of words missing in what has been backed up in the file. set shared log-settings config match-list config-any send-email set shared log-settings config match-list config-any send-syslog set shared log-settings con network…

Looking at the releases of CAT Release notes for version 3.10 - (Released on 04/08/2014) Does not seem there is much going on with it, if they are not developing it then it's going to be useless very soon.
-
The backup job seems to FORCE "Set" mode, I tried using variations to put it in "XML" mode , but these get overridden. TT
-
How Can I get the XML backup?????
-
Why do you need to remove it? If it's for Compare reports then use ignore text See >>> SolarWinds CatTools Rob
-
Apparently this was submitted as a feature request around 5 1/2 years ago! See thread! HP Procurve Switches - Compare running startup activity
-
It is truly awful response from Solar winds.

My Service Provider has queried with Fortinet who say it is fixed in 5.2.7 we can't wait for that. They suggested another work around to enable SSLV1 which whilst not ideal is better that enabling telnet. config sys global set admin-ssh-v1 enable end Rob

I have this, We had to update 2 of our 310B's due to the back door bug and after that they would not back up ( And they were the ones we bought the product for at the start of this year!) Solar Support says that the tool used to connect written by "WeOnlyDo" does not support 2048 bit encryption. The suggestion was to use…

Tumble weed rolls past.... I have seen in the debug data that the firewall is placed in "SET" config mode by cat tools. How do I stop this so it outputs XML???
-
I could not get it to correctly respond to commands either. My backups are also Flaky using the standard backup method and we get lots of config changes that never happened. My opinion is that CatTools PA support is poor, and given that product support for CAT TOOLS is poor from Solar Winds I would not expect it to be…

It was an issue in CAT Tools also Re: Cattols 3.10 to FortiOS 5.2.5 or 5.4 doesn´t work IIRC the "WeOnlyDo" ssh module did not correctly support SSHv2, Fortigate turned off SSHv1 due to security issues.
-
Bit late, but it's most likely an issue with the SSHv1 being depreciated. We had it on Fortigate firewalls. Re: Cattols 3.10 to FortiOS 5.2.5 or 5.4 doesn´t work
