The thing is, if it's an external-facing website, how are you getting accurate measurements when monitoring from inside?

Cool high-level post. When implementing DPI rules, it can also be time-consuming finding those handful of systems that DO need to have port XYZ open, or these few systems which should be allowed to send protocol X traffic over protocol Y's port (because the software vendor was just that helpful.)

They don't show up for me in any browser. Probably a proxy issue, but I doubt my company will modify the proxy so I can see them. What is the alternative? I recall these used to be posted on YouTube for people in boats similar to mine.

The metrics would be different depending on the business line -- if I'm selling something, and my sales site is down or very slow, obviously it impacts me in a different way than if I'm an insurance company with member portal access through my website, or if I'm a delivery company with some kind of tracking site.

Others have already said that they are working at organizations that provide monitoring for customers. Using the logic above, all customer accounts are by default able to upload configurations for all sites. I'm trying to figure out how that makes sense...
