We're trying to do this as well... I don't see how you can define a variable, without also defining where it's getting its data from. We're trying to show A/C unit's Temperature variable (in this case the SNMP poller is igpEnvTemperatureMeasurementDegF, OID is 1.3.6.1.4.1.476.1.42.3.4.1.2.3.1.3.3 . How do I get this value…

Unfortunately some of us are prevented from taking pictures of our desks due to company policy... sure wish the monthly missions took stuff like this into account...

After upgrading NPM to 11.01 this morning, suddenly this isn't working anymore and every device is reporting that line having changed... WTH?
-
I fixed the AD connector and it's mapping correctly now, thanks!

What OS is this being installed under? Installation as a local / domain admin? UAC running? Goats / appropriate sacrifices made? Obvious stuff like disk space, etc.?

I found a report that can be used here: which is based on this SQL query: SELECT n.NodeID, n.Caption as Node, a.ID as ApplicationID, a.Name as [Application], c.ID as ComponentId, c.Name as Component, cts.Value as TemplateCredId, cs.[Value] as OverridenCredId, cred.Name as CredName FROM APM_Component c INNER JOIN…

This workaround is infeasible for hundreds of servers. What is the status of FB319266 ?

Having this issue... again... after upgrading to 11.01 this morning. None of the nodes listed even exists when I search for them in Manage Nodes!
-
We are having the same issue running NPM 10.7 / NCM 7.3. The IP address in question isn't even a monitored node in NPM.
-
I have the same problem. Would be nice if the documentation was updated to reflect the correct way to delete icons (whatever that may be.)
-
Just to update, I have tried Clear Cached Interfaces and removing the device completely from Engineer's Toolset and re-adding it. Neither fixed the issue.

No one has any documentation as to which interface type each number corresponds?

Found something strange... so it appears that when I drag the first search up to the search bar, the criteria is mangled: instead of showing up as Event Name = UserLogon (for example) it looks like this: Event Name#UserLogon So the question is, why is LEM mangling the search criteria? I'm not modifying it at all, just…

Wow... is this required for all upgrades where NPM and NCM are on the same server? Or all upgrades in any case?
-
Still wishing for this... feature request created here: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/1997
-
Anyone?
-
Also, on page 46 for both Fresh and Upgrade installs you recommend the Express install, when obviously for an upgrade you want Advanced so you can point it at your SQL server... ??

I think the Windows Print Service built-in SAM template is what you're looking for. After you've assigned that, create an alert that says that if the Print Server Spooler component status = Down, send an alert, sound an alarm, whatever you need.

I have had the same problem repeatedly over the past year or so... cases 693580 and 739367... I always end up having to reboot the appliance because I can't leave it down waiting for a response to the ticket. Sometimes restarting the manager helps but there doesn't appear to be an actual fix. Past suggestions have been…

Anyone?

Here's a screenshot of what we're trying to do -- show the last X events for the current node:
-
Was there an update to this? This would be very useful for many of us I'd think.
-
Having the exact same problem with a Nexus 7004. Looking at the NPS log and everything says Success but the backup job still fails with that error.
-
Curious why the NPM Core Components guide still lists the process as using the Database Manager, and why this functionality was removed.
-
Any way to get this to stop? It makes the Job Notification e-mail pointless, since it's only supposed to send when there's an error. So now I have to tool through the entire e-mail notification just to find out there was no error and the job completed successfully.
-
Same problem and we are running NCM 7.0.2.
-
Anyone? I thought I'd seen it mentioned as being in one of the files in one of the subdirectories of the product.
-
Is there a fix for this?

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my sanity the most. Not sure you can help with that one though.
