BUMP. Is this feature supported or not? Either it is, and SW support is feeding me incorrect information, or it is not, and it ought to be.
-
Not sure if this counts as "interesting" (and I'm sure not unique) but for the sake of keeping the idea going (since I'm interested in finding useful ways to use LEM as well), some of the ways we use it are to monitor and alert when anyone is added or removed from privileged accounts groups, monitoring when user who do not…

You may want to create a View under Settings > Manage Views, then configure the user account you mention so that the view you created is what their default (i.e. what they see when they logon.)

Thanks for the help all!
-
We're on the latest version as well. Where in the registry is this set? Would I continue to receive alerts if stuff in the overflow queue hadn't cleared out or do I need to check the queue somewhere?
-
I agree that this needs to be fleshed out; did you create a Feature Request?
-
Same problem here. I tested by changing the Trigger Condition on the out-of-the-box alert to "Status is equal to Up". Nothing came through. I'm trying to understand why Solarwinds would include a default alert that does not work.

Submitted an order for the basketball hoop on 2/12 and a Large Polo on 2/19 and was told they were Out of Stock, any word on when they'll be back in?

Bump again... 1 month later and no response...
-
Bump... as this issue has not gone away in years, neither should the question...
-
That or there are capture tools like DuckCapture, or even ALT+PRINTSCRN and an editor like Irfanview.

So since we keep coming back to the elephant in the room, let me state it outright: WHEN will this be incorporated into the Web frontend? There has been at least one major update of the software and several patches since the request was originally made and it's still not in the Web frontend.
-
We're in need of this as well, especially when dealing with Interfaces! There is no way to see which interface we're dealing with because the name scrolls past the hard limit of the non-resizable column. When will there be some way to work with this??
-
Is this still an issue?
-
No suggestions?
-
Still an issue as of December 2012... ??

Anyone? I see other people posting questions and getting replies asking for session traces. I have provided that.
-
Since in a previous related thread I saw a request for a Session Trace, here it is. I'm not SW Support but to me this looks like NCM just sitting there doing nothing, then deciding it had timed out. Are there any plans to update the Advanced Alert GUI? It'd be nice to be able to nest the listing (e.g. sort by node) so I don't have to scroll through hundreds of alerts to find the one I'm looking for.
-
OK I found it... under Manage Application Monitors, you can "delete" the link there. However, seeing this ... is a bit alarming and misleading and implies that you may be about to blow away potentially hours of work. Any way to modify this so that it's a bit... erm... clearer that it's just the assignment you're deleting?

We have ours set to a CIFS share ( \\servername\sharename ) and that works. What I'm curious about is that there's a whole section for the Backup Folders, as if you can have multiples, but I don't see a way to do this.
-
I have the same problem. I've never gotten reports to actually finish since upgrading to 5.6. I have the hotfix as well. Case 525068.

Got the e-mail with this announcement but so far can't find the download under the Customer Portal...
-
Anyone? Beuller... Beuller... Beuller...
-
Was this ever addressed? We'd like to have alerts with multiple custom poller values (UPS especially) as well.
