It's not just the variables though. I have added a Label field as a header to a list of nodes. The Label header field lines up with the Node name in Network Atlas. But on the actual map, it lines up with the Status Icon. This even with all fields in Left-Justify.

So in our Change Approval meeting I'm going to be asked "What security vulnerabilities are being fixed?" What is my answer?

The Display Setting in SQL is what gave me the bizarre results -- if I changed it to MB, then VolumeSpaceAvailable said it was TB, etc...
-
Either that or Silent Running...
-
I believe it's actually one of those back-lit pictures that emulates what it looks like outside.
-
I have done this, but I still get the same error.
-
We have already done that. The variable displays on the map as ${CurrentValue} (i.e. it does not pull the value.)

NCM 7.3. Interestingly, when I went into the Comparison Criteria, the rule to ignore the ! Last Configuration line had been disabled. I know this wasn't done manually so I'm curious how the upgrade could have done it.

If I recall correctly, the issue occurs because the Orion Report Scheduler is simply creating (then modifying) a Task Scheduler task; you can't create it with the same name because it exists there. I believe you can modify the TS task to change the credentials -- it's been a while though so I may be incorrect. In any…

This says it's in KB but the actual statistic appears to be in MB (and the DB size in Mgmt Studio is in MB)... ?
-
We made that change over 4 months ago. It hasn't fixed the problem.
-
Excellent, thanks much!

Just to add this for anyone who has this issue in the future... this is what Support had to say. It seems to work, but I've encountered the problem again this morning. Can you please try reinstalling Job Engine: 1. Stop all SolarWinds services using the Orion service manager located at Start > All programs > SolarWinds…

Yes, it comes up... hundreds of lines since it includes the description, index, MAC, etc etc... is there something in particular I'm looking for?

After the last post I removed the re-added the device (thus losing historical data) and the problem went away. Today I upgraded to NPM 10.3 and now we have the problem again. I cannot afford to keep losing historical data to fix this! What can be done?
-
I'd prefer both -- if it were Raw, I'd have to look it up; if it were translated I might miss the fact that it's the same error as has been generated elsewhere.
-
None have been provided, and consider the date of the post. Just recently had it happen too.
-
30 minutes would have been fine last night. We waited on hold after a failed upgrade - System DOWN - for an hour an no one answered. So, change window shot, SLA violated. For this, we pay Solarwinds how much??

NPM 10.3.1. This is the Node Detail view. I have selected "Customize this list" and then sort by Building, but the drop-list never changes. Not sure how the full resource will help; the Building custom property is set, but the drop list doesn't even show buildings, the list just starts at the top (of "Unknown" / nodes…

alexslv, looking at raw SQL actually makes me feel less sane... probably why I didn't become a DB guy.

I got it working. Problem appears to be that when you enter only a period / full-stop in the body of the Alert text, the message is not e-mailed, though subsequent alert actions (like logged to Events) still work. Sound like a bug-like feature.
-
I'm having the same issue, but with SAM 6.1.1. Looking for EventID 102 (task completed successfully) even over the last 5000 polls says there are no results, even when no text is specified. I'm using a Custom Log To Monitor of Microsoft-Windows-TaskScheduler/Operational .

Any idea when this might be implemented? It seems like a pretty rudimentary fix, especially since the checkbox has been there (and not worked) for years...
-
Can we all agree to let this thread die the death it should have died a long time ago?
-
I mean the Advanced Alerts Manager that runs on the server itself, not the interface on the website. The latter is next to useless to us as it only allows one to make basic modifications to the alert.
-
Which browser is this in? When I right-click blank space within resource the only option I get is Save Page, which is the entire page in HTML.
-
That was actually the first thing I checked, right after making sure there was a session timeout.
-
I do see only one, it's just odd to me that there's an entire page devoted to showing it in a listing style, as if there can be others.
-
The thing is, if you do it from where I specified, it doesn't delete the Application Monitor, just the link. The problem is that the warning that shows up makes it look like you might be deleting the app monitor when you're not.
