Any updates on this one? Just upgraded to HCO Advanced and now have VNQM licence.

Thanks, but may have been a 'false positive' alert - tried again and was fine. Sorry.

also the registration says there are no tickets available, so I can't register...

I just don't understand why Solarwinds can't make a native poller for Aruba stacks, it's not like they are new technology. Aruba/ProCurveOS stacking has been around for decades!

Gobsmacked the first post ont his was "Oct 4, 2017 2:09 PM" and it's nt been done yet. We have new collapsed core of 3810M with 2930M in distribution. And a brand new £45k worth of Solarwinds licences and seems the two are not compatible How long does it take to write a built-in poller for Hardware Status? Come on…

Any news on this, even now, please Solarwinds? two 2930Fs in an VSF stack = no hardware monitoring!

Just upgraded to HCO Advanced, now we have VoIP & Network Quality IP SLA aka VNQM but no idea if it can be used from Teams calls. Would be amazing if it could.

This seems to have been addd in 2020.2 HF1 at least for STACKS of 3810M and 2930M (R0M67A) devices! I didn't add/fix the Hardare Health for my existing ones automatically (which is both annoying and daft), but definitely works OK after you manually "List Resources", untick the hw health object, apply then go back and…

Good suggestion! and the banner links which point to this article from the homepage please SW.

Also detects wrong model - as HPE 2930F-24G-4SFP+ (L253A) not 8G models.

Hope this helps others as much as it did me... For everyone who's confused by the MIB file that's available to download from the Support Portal and the way devices are IDed as vendor and models in NPM (which this entire thread is about), I finally found a written explanation here, from 13 years ago! -…

I have this issue too. Guess i'll have to raise a TAC ticket as I have no IIS skills and won't understand the output of Hubble.
-
Yeah that are defintely simplifying/converging the S-OS (Procurve) and CX-OS (Aruba) ranges. We were told we could no longer buy little 2530s (sadly) and had to buy C6000 or 2930F instead.
-
support case #01097507 raised for a VSF stack with the same problem.

Not so much unknown, but wrong! I believe a mistake was made and thus device type has sadly been added to NPM builds wrong. I have a VSF (software stacking via front/normal ports) stack of 2x Aruba 2930F-8G-PoE+-2SFP+ Switch (JL258A) switches. This shows the OID of 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.8.5.5 in NPM. Wrongly reported as HPE…

Is this meant to be a .JPG file?
-
Did this ever get solved. We have the same issue on a 2930F ISV stack. No hardware monitor info. Switch reported as wrong model.
-
bump - come on Solarwinds, Aruba/ProCurve has been around for decades - some decend out of the box support, including Stacking, isn't too much to ask!
-
Great workaround thanks! No longer showing as AP controller. Now just need someone to work out the device detection so it's 100F and ideally the hardware monitor bits of the MIB.
-
Much Kudos and may thanks to you @"ashley.heilbronn" - this works a treat for me! Significantly better than the default poller included in 2020.2 HF1 even. Not sure why we get a "?" for the device type - is no Icon available for Pulse Secure? Anyone know a way to fix this please? CPU = 0 - corrected itself after a few…

Can I ask which specific models of switch on WC 16.x you got working please? I have 2930M stack (slighly unusual R0M67A) on WC.16.08.0001 and NPM 2019.4 and just get : Overall Hardware Status (Node) 'Overall Hardware Status' has state: Unknown. Thanks very much.

Also does this for a brand new 100F on latest 6.4.3 software. Latest version of Solarwinds too. The device type isn't even 100F it's just "Fortigate 100", which isn't even a product. Our 100E is detected at least as a non-wireless device. Epic disappointment. Does anyone who if proper detection is possible or which UDnP to…
