I am also seeing this problem and it's random. I have a Windows 2000 Server that Orion can't report on and a Sidewinder that suddenly stopped reporting statistics. No changes have been made to it. We have confirmed the community string and as someone posted early the system has high visibility and can not be rebooted…

Sorry for the delay... Start ->Programs ->Solarwinds Orion ->Advance Features -> Orion Service Manager. Custom Mib Poller is listed there. My poller stops weekly and I have found using Windows to stop the Service is not as effective as using the Orion Service Manager. I'm not sure what the difference is just been my…

Could you provide more information because that statement really doesn't answer my question. Does Orion check the status of the devices or does it check the database for the status of the device (the last poll)?

I have the same problem....in earlier versions of NP. CPU and Memory don't show up at all in System Manager. I was excited to see it in 8.1 but no data is available. Here are the OIDs. Sorry I can't answer the MIB value question. I have a lot of reboots also...mostly with APs that are powered by a switch. I can't dispute "System returned to ROM by power-on.

We have adjusted our polling frequencies on all of devices based on device criticality. We are experiencing these manually adjusted frequencies being changed by the system is there a remedy to this?

Guess we can start with the basic question....Is there a check mark to enable the Alerts (Configure Advance Alerts). No check mark in Temporarily Disable all Actions for All Basic Alerts.

Thanks NG......It would be nice to hear from Solarwinds regarding this especially since I have an open tkt. Anyhow maybe you can clear up some of the confusion.....should I expect to see multiple devices with multicast traffic or just one. And why did the toolset see the traffic differently?

What I did was create a custom property for each interface I wanted to report on the web console (i.e serial, pvc gigabit etc). Then use the filter on the web to show just those interfaces.
