do you own npm? i would imagine this to be easier in report writer
-
i think you could easily write a script that would do that ------------------------------------------- sho ver session # (replace # with switch number in the stack) sho ver exit session # sho ver exit ----------------------------------------------- just repeat this for how ever many switches are in each stack i used sho…

I cant think of a way to do this in solarwinds but you could leverage a google voice account for it.

a. yes, npm can be setup exclusively with read-only snmp credentials b. extremely minimal if any c. not really, its a pretty simple setup
-
since that device does not utilize an enable level you need to go into the web interface and disable the enable level
-
its pretty easy to do. just copy the ios onto the directory you have setup for your tftp server. via command line copy the ios to the device (you could also do this via script in ncm if you have multiples). set the boot variable to the new ios. then schedule a reboot through the jobs portion of ncm.

what does it say for your last log in result under the communication information for the device?

i took a screenshot for you, i hope this helps

on the cirrus server if you go to file then settings about halfway down there is a "config archive" setting. this is where they are saved in txt files. i just share this folder and map it on my desktop. i believe there is also a way to do it via the web interface but i rarely use it so i am of little help on this

i am a pass. i have used solarwinds for almost 20 years now and vested a lot of time and a little money into the old test (i was one of the guinea pigs that took the entire 600 questions for the baseline). you dropped the ball on the previous certification by letting it become what it is today and really dropped the ball…

i upgraded from 7.2.2 to 7.3 and here are my lessons learned (about 150 devices) the upgrade was expected to be .50 - 1 hour + according to the installer, it actually took about 5-10 minutes i ran into a weird scenario poller wise. 7.2.2 hit the devices from the poller NCM was installed on, not the case with 7.3. with the…

-
i too found no way to do this and have been entering all of mine manually
-
sure. you just need to ensure you have a tftp file server to copy it to
-
can you telnet to port 25 on your email server?
-
have you tried setting up traps or a syslog alert? i set up an alert via syslog to send me an email whenever this happens and it works really well
-
yes, each sever will have to be configured to send syslog messages to your syslog server
-
similar issue here. i wish i had never upgraded the web integration is horrible in NCM
-
i see two possible ways to do this. either create a custom tab with inventory details on the node summary page or if you want everything on the node summary tab just go to admin, manage views, node details summary, then just add which inventory window pane you prefer hope this helps
