That fixed my problem, I had a # sign in a custom property for interfaces.
-
Has SW found you a resolution for this problem, I just upgraded to 9.5 and the SP1 last night and I'm getting the same results when trying to open Altas remotely or on the server.

On the filter tab, when you have it set to "select records where ANY of the following apply" You will be able to set your filter to have multiple conditions, so "Poller Name" wll be listed 2 times but the information after the "is equal to" value will be different on each line.
-
You can always go back into Managed Nodes, select the node with interfaces you want to add, click "List Resources" and the add in the interface you want even if it's on the ignore list. But I would also go ahead and remove it from my ignore list as well.

What config file was modified? Seeing a similar issue.

Thanks Larry! I failed to mention the NodeID field. This report can actually be done without the custom SQL code. I recreated it just by picking the three defined fields of ServerName, NodeId and NodeName in that order. I get the same report now as the SQL code Larry recommended. Sorry for the misdirection Terry.

The field Poller Name is there, but's only shown in the "Current Nodes,Interface" report. You can filter by a few fields that would sort out your various MIBS. Like OID, the Poller ID...etc..
-
I just went through in my enviroment and added some interfaces and also ignored some interfaces. I don't see those interfaces any longer in the Scheduled Discovery Results.
-
Inside Universal Device Polller if you go to assign a MIB, you can test it against a specific device before completing the assignment. In the case of the 2950 when you use the default example for Cisco temperature, the test returns the results of OID not supported.
-
In Report Writer under the Select Fields tab, add field and choose Network Nodes;Node Details;Node Name. Add another field select Polling Engines;Server Details; Server Name. In the design you can choose to group by Server Name or have the report list the poller next to each node. I only have one poller that I tested with…
-
In NPM you should be able to write a "Current Nodes,Interfaces..etc.." report to capture informatoin regarding your custom pollers. Attached is a screen shot. Not sure if this is what you're looking for.
-
You can use the Universal Device Poller to browse the MIB, I believe Synoptics start wth OID of 1.3.6.1.4.1.45. When you browse the MIB there are many OID's regarding stacks.

NTA accepts flows from HP(SLFOW) devices however NTA itself doesn't establish the settings on a device required to generate flows from a device.
-
On the NPM Import Settings tab are you selecting "Operationally UP' and "Operationally Down" and "Shutdown" If you only choose the first, the import will skip found interfaces that are not up.
-
It would probably be easiet to bring those in under the discovery without using an SNMP string and relying on just ICMP(ping). Add the unknown devices then do a bulk edit under Manage Nodes applying the SNMP string and desired port. Then run a Rediscovery on those nodes.
-
There is a report called "Last Inventory of each Device" if you view this report then click the modify button, you can change the report to include the IOS by selecting this the middle tab "Select Fields" then under "Discovered Properties" you can add OS Image and OS version to the report. HTH

I've seen this same issue, where a group is created with members and then the members are removed and the group still shows up. I've also created a group based a dynamic query, where nothing matched the query and the status of the group was unknown. Perhaps someone from SWI can chime in.

Consider using one of the "Historical Netflow Reports" in Report Writer and customize it to filter traffic for only those two nodes. Filter when "any" apply , nodename is equal to "A", nodename is equal to "B"

There's not a specific script just for a 2911, however you can build a script for just about any Cisco device. You type out the scritp just as if you were on the command line. Saving it as a script or even a snippett allows you to apply it to multiple devices. Also test your scripts on no production system first.

Yes you can use SNMP V1, V2c or V3 to monitor volumes(disk space), CPU, memory, interface statistics. For Active Directory(AD) specifice services and performance counter you would need to use an application template fetching data via WMI or RPC.
-
Yes currently only CIsco and Windows based DHCP servers are currently supported, however you can still use IPAM to scan the actual subnets. Having the ability to pull those scopes from your DHCP servers make the initail configuration a little easier.
-
One other thought was to build a view specfic to the criteria of the alert and send as a web page as well.
-
I think you have the right idea about a report. I would write a report whose query matches that of the alert you have written and then email that report as a web page so that you get all the information you need with going to the console.
-
I would write a custom report to provide the same information as that resource but then sort/gropup by the Server. Then add a Report resorce to my view, then call on that report, however you won't get the colored bar with a percent doing it this way just the percentage.
-
I don't believe this possible in Atlas; you're limited to one grouping by the system properties of status, machine type, and vendor as well as any custom properties you've created.
-
It looks to be a socket error, perhaps you have conifg method set wrong; TELNET vs. SSH on that node.
-
Not sure exactly what you are looking for but the following link contains a page that has many of the Orion NPM guides and documentation. www.solarwinds.com/.../orionDoc.aspx
-
Here's a related post, you can have them on the same server. You'll just need to turn off Orion's Syslog server in order to use the Kiwi syslog server. View this post at

In NCM console. under File-Settings, in the Real Time Change Detection section can you veriy that the windows based account used to kick off the task has a valid user id and password?
-
Can you verify that the NPM/APM server is able to gather SNMP information from the node by attempting to list resources in Node Managment?
