i'm glad i'm not the only one! i finally got it! but had to google somethings and think creatively. Apparently I'm not old enough for that saying.

Just throwing ideas out there. What about uninstalling and re installing the service completely? i think that if it would be a bug, you would see more of this problem around(With a solution). i would point more towards a non fatal service corruption than a SW Bug.
-
oh. hmm. thats intresting so only the service is impacted then? Sounds like the service does not have the ability to release the its own processes. i would look at reloading the service first then see if the problem still exists.

I See it Thank you so much!

Go download this application monitor http://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-171682. i would watch the handle count for a true memory leak! the graph looks impressive but do you get the same thing for the system? Post your results here

Is this still going on? I Posted last week and then realized it said *Copy questions right into the discussion* to see if that changed anything.

i was thinking about the NFC going to the Solarwinds Website directly associated with the Nodeid#.

This is Helpful but im not looking for skipped polling cycles. My nodes are polling just fine. I am however looking to send an email alert based on 3-4 polling cycles being over a threshold. For instance, Solarwinds will poll a node every 60 seconds and every once in a while he will grab a High CPU Usage alert and email…

This is awesome, how would you go towards applying this in an environment?

SOLUTION! To fix this issue go and edit your Network Discovery. on the screen with the timeout and retry bars, The last bar is a total time out. Slide this one past the default 60 mins. This gave the job more time to finish and fixed the issue! Thanks @ROB for the Email!

You have to be on the server. From there in your start menu there should be a "Solarwinds License Manager" from there just follow the prompts. Your licence keys should be on the Customer Portal Webpage. login and under license and maintnence tab is where you will find the license keys! Hope this helps!
