  • The only thing I can put this down to then is a problem with either the switch or the configuration thats currently sat on it. Thanks for the help jonchill, looks like I'm going to have to investigate why its just our switches that are doing this.
  • Just as a quick show of how we use it, this a portion of our network (with names removed) and the links we have drawn up. We made a decision that all of the IN traffic is towards Site A, as that is where our main datacentre is held.
  • Just tried that as well and had the same result. The only way I can successfully do this is by using the basic .bin file and to format the flash before copying the new bin. This isn't ideal because there is a lot more danger of us losing a switches config this way. Anyone have any further suggestions ?
  • Unfortunately not. You set the colour you want the line to be in its normal state but it only changes colour if the link goes down, when it will turn red.
  • The script you suggested was pretty much the same as mine but I tried it anyway and got the same results. It would appear the problem is that for some reason the last line NCM sees is "Deleting `flash:/c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-53.SE2' to create required space" and then it times out before it sees anything else. I decided…
  • Have you been able to link 2 switches together, draw a line and have the line reflect the link utilization? the only way i have been able to get close to this functionality is to add every component. Such as add server, add nic, add switchport, add switch, add egress switchport, etc. I currently use groups to show sites on…
  • Good to know theres a reason for it, thanks for that information. Guess I'll just have to wait then.
  • Is there any update on whether this functionality is going to be added? Its very annoying when trying to do subnet scans or looking at ICMP path IPSLA operations and it has no idea what some of the hops are.
  • I know you've already gotten past this, but I believe you can also use ${CR} to simulate the carriage return as well.
  • Is anyone else using a script to upload new IOS versions to Cisco devices? This is a feature we are really looking to use to get our network up to the latest version but this problem is holding us up.
