Hi Hythlodaeus- Thank you for reaching out. My name is Ben Keen and I am the THWACK Community Manager. I have engaged with our Support services team and looked into your account details. They will be in touch ASAP and we are working to bring in an Application Engineer to help stabilize the issues in your environment.…

Yeah, as @"KMSigma.SWI" already pointed out, you can change the "IS NOT NULL" to be "= <variable here>". And you can do this for anything property. Say you are building a Department Dashboard and you have "Department" as a Custom Property. You can simply do something like this as shown below. SELECT [Nodes].Caption AS…

Sorry for being late to the game on this one but if don't want to use the GUI data source picker, you can feel free to use the following SWQL Query. I already filtered the results to exclude any Nodes that do not have an Application assigned to the Node but you can feel free to add further filters by adding further WHERE…
-
Is there a difference in the results when you use SWQL Studio?
-
Is there any talk about bringing Collasaple Widgets to the Modern Dashboards?
-
The same to you Jez and everyone else!

If you haven't already done so, be sure to update the MIB table within your environment. You then need to create the UnDPs and assign it to your CloudGenix devices. I tried to make things easier and I tried to export the entire group of UnDPs I use to the content exchange. That information can be found here. If you have…
-
We have been using CloudGenix for awhile now. I'm able to use SNMP to get the data in through the MIB tables. I can look to see if I can find the original update for the MIB table and see if I can't post them to my GibHub or something.
-
Use whatever works for you. :) Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any other questions I might be able to assist with.
-
Yes, the process monitors are set up to allow me to monitor both Windows and Linux machines with the same template. You have to disable the check that doesn't apply to your system or you can duplicate it and delete the check for either system but I try to keep things that are alike together in one check. I also completed…
-
Sounds good! I'm going to work on making a Modern Widget too that I will share on the content exchange here shortly.
-
I just uploaded the SAM template that I set up in my home lab. You can find it by going here.
-
Yes you can SAM to monitor the service. You build a SAM Template by going to a node that you know has the agent installed then opening Service Control Manager on that server. Once the list populates, locate "SolarWinds Agent and then click "Start monitoring this service". Follow the on-screen instructions to finish…
-
I will have to take a look. And thanks for the reminder, I need to add this dashboard and a few others to the content exchange.
-
You can also check out the Modern Dashboard Content Exchange. I've two modern dashboards there already. One is a SolarWinds Admin Dashboard which was based on a classic version of the dashboard that I just updated the SWQL queries and widgets and the other is an Alert Dashboard where again, we were able to take some…

The thing I love about PerfStack is that it gives you a quick, easy to read view of the entire system from hardware to application, to the volumes where the data is stored. It saves a lot of time jumping screen to screen when you are dealing with a high priority outage.

I just updated my home lab to 2020.2.6 HF2 and everything is stable. I'm hoping to upgrade my production environment in Q1 of 2022. If you or your team have any questions about it, feel free to reach out!
-
Then yeah you are in the same boat I'm currently in with my production environment. I have 2020.2.6 HF1 running on my personal set up and I can tell you that there are some great things coming to you with the update.
-
Which version of Orion are you running? As @"aLTeReGo" said, modern dashboards are built on top of this invisible grid but the sizing works a little better in 2020.2.6.
-
If anyone is interested, I just shared my work with this dashboard moving it from a Classic Dashboard to a Modern Dashboard. Creating a Modern F5 Dashboard
-
Great stuff! everything is working great; just need to do some tweaking on my end to make things work on a Modern Dashboard. Thank you for sharing this! You saved me a lot of time!
-
Our security team wanted to make sure we fully understood the impact of the attack. It was rough for sure but thankfully, I think the build-out has done fairly well.
-
Yes that should trigger an alert if there's less than 10% or a certain number of bytes avaialable.
-
Search for "used" that should result in something like the screenshot below. Sorry for the delay getting back to you, just like everyone else, I've been busy addressing the issue SolarWinds has been facing since Sunday night.
-
This year has been one of the best and worst in a long time. Yes, COVID-19 went from "two weeks to flatten the curve" to "we don't know when we are opening the offices again". Millions of people are entering the holiday season trying to provide for their families with a large reduction in pay. It's not a typical Christmas…
-
I just hope that at least one person gained some information from the session that @"KMSigma.SWI" and I held talking about inheriting your environment and how to take ownership of it while continuing to improve it!
-
Are you upgrading from an older version or are you doing a fresh install?
-
I'm sure there are easier ways, but what is your polling cycle? The reason I ask is that you can set the alert to not trigger if the X% condition is not met and held for M minutes. So if you have a 5-minute polling cycle if you put that the conditions must be true for 15 minutes that's 3 polling cycles.
-
I'm in favor of more of the report as well. But I can see why majames84 would want to go the alert way. Where my thoughts differ is that as the monitoring engineer, I view my role as being the kid in the back of the classroom that some see as the nark for pointing out bad behavior to the teacher. It is my job to inform…
-
KMSigma - can you send out the link to the other posts about adding CSS formatting to alerts? I've been searching around the THWACK Community and this is the only one I can find. Might be because I'm worn out from the "30 minute" drive which I guess in NY really means 90 minutes because that is how long it took us to get…
