Under pressure..... ;-) What is the anticipated release date of the next major release? This is something that is going to make life a lot easier.

Had the same problem and this solution worked for me. Thanks!
-
No I have not.
-
Support did resolve this for me. I did have to uninstall and then reinstall to resolve the issue. Strange that this happened as no changes had been made. Thanks for the assist and suggestions!

Trying to follow all of these threads so forgive if I missed the answer to this question. Is there a way to just turn off monitoring of just the bias current sensor? I believe that DONDERKA's response turns off all hardware monitoring.

I want to make sure I understand what you are recommending. Are you saying to remove the IP domain name from the configuration of the device? If so, that is not easily done in some environments where the domain name is used for things such as encryption.

I would like to participate as well!

Thanks – this worked great. I was totally over-thinking the solution. Tim Goyette Senior Network Engineer Infrastructure Engineering Services Phone: (303) 768-3329 Fax: (303) 645-0704 * nCM490C491023

I am assuming that this only works for devices where the serial # is not specific to the chassis? In other words a lot of Cisco router / switches do not have the chassis serial number encoded anywhere on the device so there is nothing to read electronically just the sticker on the device.

We would be interested in this as well

I am trying to do this as well but, with one caveat. Can you do this based on "how long" a port has been in a "down" state? For example we would like to create a change template that looks for switch ports on our user switches that have been in a "down" state for longer than a week and place those ports in an "Admin Down"…

I found this to be correct in my situation. The password for the ID was using had been changed but not reflected in the job(s). Once I updated the password in the jobs they ran fine

Jon, Tried adding the lines Cisco suggested to you, replacing the community strings with my real ones of course, and it caused Performance Manager to lose all SNMP communitcation with the switches I added the lines too. Think I will wait for the service pack as well

We are running 4.1
-
Thanks for the SQL Script, that worked great.
-
I also cannot find anything newer than 9.05 (May '07).
-
I am running this on Server 2003 with most recent patches and running the most recent version of Orion.
-
I am seeing the same issue but with telnet. I have opened a case with support but have not heard back from them. Did you ever get an answer from support?
-
Thanks, that worked great!!
-
Is there an easy way to delete all of the lines from this table?
-
I am having the same issue. Tech support was no assistance. Did you ever get a resolution for this? Tim

This is a great idea and no, this would not be a problem for us

I just wanted to put in my 2 cents. THANKS FOR WORKING ON THIS!!!! I work for a large financial institution and IP management is cumbersome at best. From what I have read this seems like it will be just what we need when available. Has anybody considered incorporating NAT translations into this? We are running multiple…

I also have the same problem. It is interesting that it only happens sometimes and I have verified that everything is defined properly in custom ports. I opened a support ticket and had them check that I had my custom port definitions set up correcty which they did verify. this is what they had to say. "Looking at the…

I have been told that although there is no way to change the password online to something more to your liking you can call support and have them change it for youquote:Originally posted by michael.buskin Customer Area Intergration I hate having to remember my customer id and password, so why not intergrated ith with System…

I think integrating the support ID and password into the system manager would be helpful. I would also like to see something like Port Mapper integrated into Orion that could be accessed via the WEB interface.

I am also having the same issue after upgrading to the latest release. For security reasons we don't want to grant access to the directory and we also don't want to keep it on the local server for disaster recovery reasons. Is there not a way to control what domain account is being used to authenticate to the remote server?

I agree - this is something that would be GREAT to have

I have heard that V.8 is scheduled for release around mid December ( I heard this in the training class in Dallas\Ft. Worth). If it hasn't even made it to beta yet how is that possible. The concern here is that it will be 'Rushed to Market' and be full of bugs.
