I experienced the same issue as James. The only difference was I downloaded it on July 7th to my phone. The following day I downloaded it to my daughter's iPad, but it was missing the google login option. It only had the option for the trainer club login. I was able to login and play the game using the google login on my…

Getting buy in from the business is crucial. If they see IT as a cost prohibitive investment rather than just an expense it helps resolve many inter-departmental struggles. I couldn't agree with you more about maintaining service level agreements internally. Treating internal users as if they are your customers is the best…

In regards to the hype, well... yes and no. All systems have a degree of vulnerability in some way shape or fashion. It's just about how easy is it to exploit that vulnerability. Having the strongest encryption on a firewall with everything carefully locked down doesn't stop the bad guys from physically walking into a…

I like the sound of this. The 'centralizing' aspect is actually the most challenging part due to the wide variety of tools most IT shops are running.

It took me a minute to find what you were referencing. I was looking in the alert manager for setting them up in a group rather than the web console. I've never setup anything with groups before so that was whole new territory for me. I believe that I have it setup correctly now and I've gained new knowledge. Thank you so…

That's exactly what I needed to know. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much.

I have, and it's partially working. I can see when Nodes are deleted, added, managed, or unmanaged. I can see when list resources are added or removed. I'm not seeing when alerts are added, disabled, or deleted. Also custom properties being added, changed or deleted. I haven't taken a look at if any Orion settings get…

Unfortunately disabling the alert escalation did not seem to resolve the issue but at least I can rule that out now. The SolarWinds customer support have advised me to try to delete the alerts and recreate them from scratch. I've done so this morning and now it's just a waiting game to see when it goes down again if it…
-
Yes I did configure the Alert Escalation to Execute this Action repeatedly while Alert is Triggered and the Execute this Action repeatedly every 30 minutes was selected. The Delay the execution of this Action was not used. The intent was for the alert to continue to send us notifications of the website being down until…

I'm having the same issue. It's a minor annoyance so I haven't opened a support case on it. schwin97 if you do and get an answer about this please let me know. As ccamlin stated deleting the schedule (not the report, just the schedule) and re-creating it will stop the behavior temporally. Would be nice to get a…

Thanks for the very rapid response. I was afraid it was going to end up being something like that but thank you very much for confirming that it wouldn't work and also helping me to understand why. Yeah I'm really excited for the new Alert Manager update, they asked me do a customer feedback session on it and it seems to…
-
Yeah I see that. The question is.... but why?
-
I was able to resolve this issue. I contacted support and opened a case. I was informed that they could not assist specifically with customer SQL variables but he pointed me in the right direction. When I created this alert I set it up for the type to alert on as an application, not a component. Using the ComponentID =…

Yes we are. We are using VMXNET3 as the current adapter.

I'm getting the same message. I'm guessing you have to do something different than just attempting to rename the report to .xml and then importing it? Edit* Oh I just realized this report is from 2007, no wonder. This is using the old report writer on the server rather than through the website. That's why we can't just…

I just saw in the NPM 12 beta version 3 that they're adding in the web console based alert management. I think I'm just going to hold off till I can take a look at that as they're adding a lot more functionality and try to set it up then. Thanks anyways guys.
-
Deleting the alert and recreating it from scratch did resolve the issue. It just doesn't make any sense why though because I checked over everything multiple times and all of the settings now are exactly the same way that they were before. Oh well call this one solved.

||UPDATE|| So after watching this for awhile it seems like it is not a missing rank but rather that someone that has a score somewhere between 53,929 and 53,804 is hidden from the leader boards. Whatever their score is lies between those numbers. As more people increase in points the "missing" being occupied by this…

This almost seems like it would be an Easter egg of sorts, but I can't think of any references to 164 within popular culture. It doesn't translate to anything interesting in binary or hex, and I don't know of any significance of the number in my (admittedly little) knowledge of programming languages.

Yes it is if you ask nicely. Send a message to maria.bungau and she should be able to change it for you.

I'm the road warrior for my group and I use mine all the time and some day it's going to have to be retired. When that happens I'm sure I will want another one. If cost is a deciding factor as to why we can only have one then I say let us shoulder that burden instead. I would be glad to pay actual money for a new one if it…

shaun_9999 wrote: Solarwinds is saying that these cards are degraded, I have tried removing the monitoring for the smart array with no success (it still says it's degraded) The only way that I know of, at the moment, is to remove health monitoring. What way did you try to remove it from monitoring? If you go to the section…

We are also having this problem. There is an issue with the HP Insight Management WBEM Providers are actually incorrectly reporting a degraded status for the Smart Array Controllers. http://www.wh33ly.nl/wp/?p=215 This article has information about it as well as a fix.
-
What logic do you have configured in the trigger conditions? Also what status rollup mode did you select? I would try to break it up in to two alerts just to test each piece and make sure that they work independently. That might help identify what is causing the problem.

I'm aware that an easy work around would be to just create a custom property and call it something like "filepath" then just copy paste the file path to the file being monitored. Then reference that instead of trying to do a custom SQL variable. I've done that in the past and we end up with "custom property sprawl". I…

Sounds like this could be very helpful. Do you have a screenshot of what it looks like in the web console?

I know exactly how you feel. Hopefully this will be alleviated in the not so distant future with autonomous cars.
