A good change management solution, whether integrated into helpdesk software or not, is of utmost importance. My organization has struggled with this and we're still looking to what our change management solution should be, but we all agree that there should be one. Although, implementing a change management solution and…

Pretty sure I'm all good now. Thanks for taking care of us.

With this particular exploit the SMB isn't being breached from beyond the firewall, it's being breached by an infected user from the inside. Good advice on blocking anything you don't need to make available at the firewall level, but unpatched SMBv1 is still able to be affected by an internal infected user who has access…

Anybody else not get the 250 points for completing the survey or am I just being too impatient?

Nope, missed 2 each in the first 2 weeks, then went 10/10.

And apparently, I should have read your comment before answering the question. I, too, went with the "obviously correct" answer...that wasn't.

My first job out of school was as a graphic designer for a company that didn't have an IT support team, so I had to learn to be my own support. Moved on from that company to a field tech job at a local computer shop, then moved into networking and the rest is history. In my 11th year at my current company as the Network…

Does it affect A user or ALL users is the bane of my existence. "Nobody can get to anything at our office." "Nobody can get to anything?" "Nope, everything is down and nobody can do any work." "Hmm, well, I see Sara and Lisa replying to emails." "Well, yeah, but Joe can't do [one specific function in one specific app]".…

Another fun and informative mission in the books. Good job, Thwack

Same here, correct answer, no points.

Ah, must have missed that.

Yeah, this question was tough. Two of the checkboxes were pretty obvious from the hint link, but the other was something you had to kind of extrapolate. It wasn't explicitly stated, but it does have to do with timelines and something you would be able to do if you had a correlated timeline... Hope this helps.

Yep, I also got this one wrong by selecting ALL of the answers.

Thanks for all your great work at THWACK lindsey.serrano and best luck with your future endeavors.

Greg, any update on the host keys authentication in SFTP/SCP server? I'm trying to offload IronPort logs and the IronPort will only authenticate with host keys, will not use password. Currently using version 1.1.0.16 of the SCP server.

I didn't have the problem, but we added both pub and subs to VNQM when we installed. So, Ahmed's solution could very well be the fix.
-
ding, I haven't downloaded the VNQM new beta, yet, but the roadmap notes specifically mention Cisco SIP support. Any chance this will also work with an AudioCodes SBC?

Emailed it to you directly.

I'm monitoring a 5508 controller and around 125 LWAPPs. Really should just be the community string and IP address of the controller. I'm assuming there are no firewalls between the controller and Orion in your environment or that you're allowing SNMP traffic if there is. Check the obvious stuff, make sure the community…
