I have the exact same problem. All the web-based reports are not selectable in the view. This used to happen if you did not tick "Make this Report available from the Orion website". But I've looked high and low and can not see anything that resembles that in the web based reporter. I think a call to support is the answer.…

Can't help you with the report but for the alerting I use Advanced Alert Manager. I have 2 alerts, one for Transmitting and one for Receiving. I use these alerts to only report on the links to my remote sites. I get an email when a remote link is running over 90% for at least 10 mins. I get a reset email when the link…

They are all available if you have NCM setup and configured RTCD as well. Only thing I noticed is that for the RTCD syslog rule, I had to use *Configured from vty* for the Syslog Message Pattern section.

The "List of All Vlan's" view is not populated by IPAM at all. The VLAN ID in IPAM is just for your records within IPAM. If you want the "List of All Vlan's" view to be populated, you need to select the VLAN option in List Resources for the Node.

In NCM jobs, use machine type when selecting the devices.
-
Usually high response time is caused by high utilisation on the link to that device. Other times it could be related to high cpu spikes on the device itself. Does syslog show anything on the device? How's the link utilisation when response time is high?
-
If one of these IP addresses on an interface goes down, is anything logged in syslog? If yes, you can alert using the syslog message. If not, then go with the above suggestions
-
I'm not sure exactly what you mean but there's a resource called Custom List of All Maps. It comes with an edit button that allows you to select which maps you wish to see in the list.

There is a chat this year. Not sure why it doesn't work for you.

We do things a little different. I generate the alert in Solarwinds which then emails a ServiceNow email address. And in the email body I use the codes to fill out an incident form in ServiceNow.
-
Does this part of the user's account setting help? If you restrict your view access this way, the syslog view will also use these restrictions. I use the System Name Pattern to restrict sites to only see the equipment they have. All the views then use this restrictions including NTA etc.

What is the timezone on your solarwinds server set to? It sounds like it is set incorrectly. I'm on 11.0.1 and don't have an issue.
-
Are you running the backing of the startup config and running config at the same time? If yes, maybe try creating 2 jobs. One to backup all the startup configs and then another one (say 30 mins later) that backs up the running configs. Personally I think it's overkill to back up the startup and running configs daily. I do…

If you've got NCM, this data is collected and can be shown easily enough in a report.
-
I've not done it but I imagine it would be as simple as modifying your email address in Edit Profile.
-
Got to Alerts & Activity Select 'Node Down' for Event Type Select Custom for Time Period and put in the dates you want and click on Refresh.
-
What sort of device is it? They should be the same.
-
According to this link http://www.solarwinds.com/network-performance-monitor/integrated-wireless-polling.aspx Orion will monitor access points that support the standard 802.11 MIB. I'm using the Cisco wireless gear and Orion reports on it all.
-
I see the same problem in the List of Switch Stacks where it shows a device up twice and it says it has double the Member Count. To fix I had to delete the device and add it back in.
-
Monitor the WAN interface to see what the utilisation is of the link. So add in the router into NPM and monitor the WAN interface. You will then get lots of info on the link.
-
What is your definition of ignore? Is it that you wish to monitor a node but not be alerted on it? Or is it that you don't want a node to show up in the discovery process?
-
I don't have this problem. I'm running NCM 7.6 and I have my config retention set to 6 months and that's exactly what it shows when I look.
-
Yes it deletes it out of NCM as well so you no longer see the configs (deletes the entry in the database). But the configs do remain on the hard drive you've copied them to so you can still go back and look at them there.
-
Yup what Matthew said is correct except you can just click on the delete button. Here's a pic.

Check that SNMP works on these devices from the Solarwinds server. Without SNMP working, Solarwinds can't determine what the device is.
-
This might be an obvious one but in the NTA viewer, did you Flow Direction set to both? And I assume you have 'ip flow ingress' & ip flow egress' set on your WAN interface.
-
Other than what has been suggested above, it is not possible. Please vote up this feature request. https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/1070#start=50

Just thought I'd bump this up to see if anyone had any ideas on this. Thanks

What is the flow source set to?
-
Is the VPN tunnel on a Cisco device? If yes, you can monitor is with SNMP and then you should just see the tunnel as an interface.
