In basic terms, you just need to write a script in NCM and then run it on all your devices. There are helpful web pages with info on how to do this Network Configuration Manager (NCM) Guided Tour - YouTube Command scripts - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support Edit a config using a script in NCM - SolarWinds…

There is but I've not done anything with it. As per image below, click on the Edit Comparison Criteria button. This is in the GUI version of NCM on the server.

Great to hear! Some of those features will be welcomed

We use an external site for our oncall alerting. It's called opsgenie. So in Alert Manager I just put in the external opsgenie email address and then opsgenie sends it to the oncall person's mobile. You can program in a roster into opsgenie so you don't need to keep modifying it on a weekly basis. You must have to modify…

You are correct that when a parent and child go down, you'll only get an email from the parent. Interfaces are automatically considered a "child" of the node so when the node goes down, you only get an email from the node, not all the interfaces you are monitoring. Obviously when an interfaces goes up/down and the node is…

Open the map image up in something like Photoshop and change the actual size to something that fits your screen better. I have also found Atlas to crash at times especially if I've been making maps for a while. But after restarting the application I can continue to use it for a while again. I just save my changes often now…

The date seems to be server specific. So whatever your Solarwinds server has set up as the date format, is what is used. If you change it on your server, it will change it for your views. This thread has some more info. https://thwack.solarwinds.com/message/188744#188744

I signed up over 5 years ago and haven't achieved the same point status. I guess I mustn't spam as much as others You should've done this as a question, then you can mark your own answer as correct for more points This forum is definitely one that is fantastic to be part of, even though I'm on the other side of the world.

Yes an alert will be generated at 9am but it will state that the node went down at 9am, not the actual time that the node went down.
-
What traps are you wanting to configure? Or what are you looking at achieving?
-
Sure, what is the issue? Here's some information Success Center or have a look in the Thwack templates to see if there's one in there.

Congratulations!!

You will need to buy UDT. It will then show you all the IP addresses on the interfaces. The interfaces do not need to be monitored by NPM.
-
It sounds like it used to work and now doesn't. So you need to check what has changed. Check firewalls, permissions etc.
-
It will depend on the IP address you are polling. It sounds like you're polling the IP address of the interface of the primary link. You need to poll something that will always be up such as a Loopback interface.

If you manually copy the file, is it still slow? I assume you're using TFTP. If it is still slow doing the copy manually, change to FTP.
-
How much ram does the server have? Maybe try increasing it, that should help with performance.
-
As mentioned, first check whether or not you can just log onto the device using a Telnet/SSH program. If that doesn't work, get that working first, then NCM will work fine.
-
On your reset conditions tab, what is the trigger reset set to?
-
Do you see any errors in show log on the device? Sounds like a memory leak issue. Consider upgrading the IOS to a later version to see if that helps. But errors on the LAN interface are bad. Try changing the cable to see if that helps, otherwise change ports.
-
I too haven't upgraded as yet. Can't afford any downtime, plus our database is remotely managed which means restores are a pain!
-
You may as well tell yourself if no one else is telling you

So you deleted it in "Customize Meny Bars"? You should be able to add it back in using "Customize Meny Bars". You can create menu bars from scratch and reports is an option you can add in.

I use the alert function in Syslog Viewer. I monitored for BGP syslogs and email an alert on that. Easy to setup provided you are receiving syslogs from your devices. One benefit is that this syslog alert is instantly so you can see flaps easily. Advanced Alert Manager slows the process down so some BGP down alerts are…

What it means is that in that small period of time, Solarwinds was unable to communicate with the device. So something is causing that to happen. Are there any firewalls between the Solarwinds server and this device? To confirm what is happening, you could run a continuous ping to the device from your Solarwinds server and…

Did you delete the device out of NPM and then add it back in? If not, you should do that.

This Day will be counting from 12am in your local timezone. This Hour will be the current hour so if the time is 3:30pm, This Hour starts at 3pm.
-
I just click on the interface in question, and then use the Percent Utilization - Line Chart view. Then I click on the Edit button and adjust as needed.
-
I don't believe you can do this. So your best bet is to create a feature request for this.
-
Maybe try writing a Reset Condition such as CPU Load < 95% and see if that helps.
