The TFTP timeout is determined by the logon timeout set on the devices. Look for the exec-timeout command and disable it or set it to a higher value.

So are you saying that the build in alert does not work for you? How do you test it? Or are you just trying to get an email alert for this build in alert? If yes, I use the following for my transmit alert. But I've left the build in one as it is and have just written another alert that just sends the email. I have set it…

Maybe you could do a feature request to get "Historical Alerts" added to NPM views. It would be a good idea so see this if looking at a device as it shows a quick history of what has been going on for say the last 7 days.

This information is found in your NCM Jobs List. Go to NCM > Jobs Then check the Default Database and Archive Maintenance Job, and look in the 'Add Job Specific Details tab And check the Default Purge Config Jobs, and look in the 'Add Job Specific Details tab

Escape to Solarwinds!! BTW, you're due for a new keyboard
-
I can't see a way of changing this. Someone else may know.

What is the reset trigger set to? If the alert trigger can be seen, then it won't alert on it again until the alert trigger clears. Which is why it works when you manually clear it. You need to find a way to have the trigger alert clear itself, that way your alert will work each week.

Either way is fine. You have to decide which view will fit your needs better. Individually picking each device for a view will definitely give you what you are looking for but it won't dynamically update when you add in extra devices.

Update on my status - I have the "correct" version of HF2 now installed and all my subnets are scanning and reporting correctly. Also my network discovery scans have started to work again although the "Last Discovery" is still showing up as 16/12 or 17/12 which was the time when IPAM and my network discovery scans broke.…

I installed the latest hotfix last night but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. Any new subnet I've added since it broke, won't scan. Any subnet that existed before hand, does scan (but it was already scanning prior to HF2). I've also noticed that the discovery no longer works. It hasn't worked since the last…

The sa account should be able to back up the database. The fact that you can't change the password for sa does that mean you don't have the correct sa password?

My setup is much smaller than yours but we do not see this behaviour. I rarely reboot the Solarwinds server. 701 Nodes, 1245 Interfaces, 22 Volumes, 1968 Total Elements. Normal service is about 90mb and V3 is at 255mb. Are you using Windows? If so which version of Windows and SQL?

Easiest way to detect this is by using syslog. Make sure the device is sending all syslogs to the syslog server. Then on the syslog server create a rule that looks for this syslog and then emails whoever needs to know. Just click on View and select Alerts/Filter Rules. Please reply back in you need help with creating the…

Done. Happy to discuss further. Thanks!

Ask the 3rd party to give you a read only account that allows you to show the running config. And get SNMP access as well so you can fully monitor it too.
-
Just monitor the port channel as an interface and then create your utilization report on that.
-
You could just write 3 alerts. And in each alert point it to only the nodes you are interested in for that alert.
-
What you done in your rule looks fine. In the Trigger Condition section, set "Condition must exist for more than 10 minutes"
-
It really shouldn't matter which end you monitor, they both will show the same info albeit "back to front". I generally monitor the remote device uplinks so that if that remote device gets removed, I don't have to do anything to my core's monitoring settings. But if it's only a single uplink to the remote device, then…

Have you configured up realtime change detection? This can email you when configs are changed and it will make a copy of the running config as changes are made. So even if you don't want to receive the email, you can easily look at all the last running configs to see if indeed any changes were made. Alternatively when you…

Download a copy of the NPM admin guide and go through it. It will then soon all fall into place. Solarwinds is a relatively easy monitoring solution to master. https://documentation.solarwinds.com/archive/pdf/npm/NPM_Administrator_Guide.pdf Good luck!

When you look at the Interface Details, what does it say for Interface Bandwidth? It looks like Solarwinds sees them as slower interfaces than what they are. You can manually set the speed by selecting the interface in Manage Nodes and then click on Edit Properties. Then tick the Custom Bandwidth option and fill in the…

When you do list resources on the device, do you see the new description on the interface in question?

These settings can also be changed by going into Settings, then select NTA Settings in the Settings section. Scroll down to Database Settings. Here you can configure all the options. Here's a link to the help for this section.…

Done. My file is called SolarwindsDiagnostics 20171026 Main server.zip

On the days that you don't receive the emailed report, are you able to run the report manually? You could try create another Report Schedule for this same report but only have it emailing yourself. There could be something wrong with the other report job?
-
After you add the router object to the map, you can change the graphic. From the manual you do it as follows. To monitor the interfaces, you would need to add them to atlas by either other objects or you can monitor a link between 2 objects (the link has 2 end points that it monitors and if either goes down, link will go…

I noticed that some of the days it has no data for are weekend days. Are devices unmanaged some weekends? When you look at other devices, are they also missing the data? If so, then your solarwinds server may have been shut down or the services were stopped. If it's only this one device where there is missing data, then…

No, your jobs will run as normal. But now you can apply account limitations if you wish. Page 94 of the NCM Admin guide has further details.

Are you monitoring these interfaces in NPM? It will only shows what you have selected to monitor in NPM. But I assume that you are still monitoring interfaces on this node in NPM, in that case I would restart the Solarwinds services and then restart Network Atlas.
