In this thread I've posted what we use to backup F5's. F5 backup configuration This may also help NCM Template - F5 Big-IP (1.3.6.1.4.1.3375) - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support There's a number of threads on here. Hopefully you'll find your answer.

You could do it via the object label and just display it under the node object.
-
What is the reason for unmanaging them? Just so that you don't get alerted on issues? If that's the case, change the time details on your alerts to not alert you between the hours of 6pm - 6am. But to unmanage your nodes, you will need to do this manually each day.
-
I'd like to also see BGP. The thing I'm looking for the most is to see a link not routing traffic. For example, I have a remote site with 2 links. If the primary link stops routing, the traffic switches to the backup link. Currently in NPM, I can't see that this has occured. Both links are still showing as being up.
-
What sort of information are you looking for? The utilization chart will just show the utilization of the link, not what is actually causing the traffic. You'd have to use something like Netflow to give you the information of what the traffic is.

I assume you mean manage your devices with TACACS (NCM doesn't use TACACS). Within NCM, you can only assign one profile to a device so if NCM wants to back up a config, then it will always use the same device. If you have RTCD turned on, then any TACACS user can modify the configuration of the device. Once they exit conf t…

Fantastic! In the few times I've contacted support over the years, I've always had great service. Glad to see it's still that way.
-
The Avaya's I'm monitoring via SNMP in NPM don't show CPU or memory utilization by default. Not sure if you could use a custom poller to show them. I've not tried.
-
No, that's not happened to me. What do you need assistance with?
-
Just open Manage Nodes. Tick the box for the nodes you want and then click on Maintenance Mode and select Unmanage. Do the same to remanage them.
-
There probably a few build in reports that show this but the first one that comes to mind is Current Status of each Node. It lists the Node ID, IP address and Staus.
-
Interface Status isn't an available trigger option when the Type of Property to Monitor is set to Custom Node Poller. You need to remove this from your alert.
-
You need to change the Amount of historical data to load to say 1 day and then you can select Sample interval of Every 1 minute. If you go into Export, you can customize this more than the above image.
-
Sure no worries.
-
You just manually copy the file to where all the other NCM Device Types files are located. Default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Configuration Management\DeviceTypes Then you can go back into Edit Properties for the F5 device and for Device Template pick the new one you installed.
-
Check your SNMP settings on the remote device. Is it version 2 or 3? Then you'll need to make sure you have right community string (version 2) or right username, passwords and encryption details (version 3). Also check to see if the solarwinds box has been allowed SNMP access to the device. Another thing to check it if…

Ha! I have the same thing. But I'd never noticed it until you pointed it out
-
You can use NCM to get this info but unfortunately switch stacks are only shown with 1 serial number.
-
What is the popup? Is it the actual TFTP application?
-
On the Cisco's when you copy in a new Startup Config, it overwrites the old one. So there's no need to delete it first. I would try that first before you issue the erase startup config command.
-
This is an obvious one but I assume that you've configured your solarwinds server as a logging host on the devices?
-
Post up a screen shot of your trigger. But it sounds like you need to use a Condition Group in your trigger.
-
As mentioned, obviously double check your credentials. If all ok, is there a firewall in the way or on the server itself?
-
Can you manually connect to the router from the Solarwinds server using Putty? Just making sure you're not getting blocked by a firewall etc.
-
Just use License Manager SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: How do I use License Manager?
-
As far as I can see, this can currently not be done. Here's another thread on it http://thwack.solarwinds.com/thread/44159
-
Are you using this template? http://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-167294
-
Hi, I've not used the out of the box alert so I'm not sure how it works but I use RTCD through syslog. I assume you have NCM? As you'll need it for this to work. Follow these instructions Configure real time change detection
-
Have those values actually been entered in on the devices itself? If the device is being monitored by SNMP correctly and certain values don't show up, just check that the values are on the device.
-
I'm guessing that you are monitoring the interfaces. So what I do is that I've created an email alert that will email me if any of my remote links go over 90% utilisation for a continuous 10 mins. In the email I include a link that goes directly to the interface in question's page in Solarwinds. On that page I show the NTA…
