You're right, the network always gets blamed first. It's then up to us to prove the network is fine and it's the application. My favourite response always was "can you ping it?". Yes, then in that case the network is fine But that doesn't really work at well as it once did.

Yes there's plenty out there. I love the ones that ring up and you say "have you rebooted it?" And they say "I knew you were going to ask that!" And you say "well have you?" And they say "no...... I'll ring you back if there's still an issue".
