I agree with the above. Try manually telnetting to the device so you know which credentials and settings work. Then apply them in NCM.

Yeah I'd noticed that as well but I couldn't find how to get that icon on my other columns. So I deleted the Average Columns and then modified the Max columns to show the average. This is now what I get. I then added in the MAX colums again and now the MAX figures have changed! My table layout now The Average figures are…

I don't believe that's the case. I have it set for Last Month (1/1/18 - 31/1/18). Almost every time I refresh the Web-Based report, the Average figures change.

I agree. The only time you'll see Interface customer properties is when the type of property to monitor is set to Interface.
-
He's asking for an unplugged option for the device, he's aware that the unplug option exists for the interfaces. There's isn't a 'unplugged' setting for the devices, so you could increase the polling time so reboots won't show it as being down. But if the workstation gets switched off then it will show as down. You will…

If you run putty on the Solarwinds server and then connect to the device, does it work?
-
Yup monitored UPS is one way to go to see if a site has power or not. In the old days when a remote site dropped off the air, I used to ring up the local fax machine and if it answered, I knew the site had power
-
Yeah that's what I do. So someone can just click on the link and then see the top talker info.
-
Ah yeah, brain fade! Account limitation versus view limitation. I agree account limitation is the way to go.
-
Did you tick the box as per this image? If yes, then you need to give it time to repoll the interface before it will show the port as being unplugged rather than down.
-
So a link to MAP B appears on MAP A? And are you only have this issue when an interface is down? So when a node is down on MAP C, do you then see the warning on MAP A?
-
And check if the Send E-mail option is configured.
-
You should buy UDT, it will do this for you.
-
Packet loss is calculated by ICMP only. So are you saying that you can see packet loss in the Orion graph but a manual ping running at the same time from the Orion server shows no packet loss? Are you using remote pollers?
-
Hi Paul You should be able untick the option below to stop duplications all together.
-
If you can get NCM to successfully backup a config, then you'll be able to get it to compare running/startup configs. Depending on the device you'll need to play around with the Login Information and Communications sections for the device. For some device you may need to create a Device Command Template or do a search as…

Thanks. Now the only things that are missing is the syslog widget being added to the applicable node screen and being able to receive all syslogs. I have one device that will send 4 syslogs per minute but yet I will only get one of these using this new setup. So far the new setup doesn't work as before.
-
I can't seeing it being done either within Alert Manager. I can't see how you can have an alert that relies on the status of another alert.
-
Yup I've enabled LA on the nodes. I get all the syslogs appearing in Log Viewer. My issue is, how can I forward one of those syslogs to an email address? Yes I've set up the alert to send me an email but how do I attach the actual syslog message to my email? This was soooo simple to do in the Syslog Viewer application on…

Agreed!

Looks good to me Good luck!

Mine too. They all show up as F5 Labs, Inc. I'm still on NPM 11.0.1
-
I use this in my report. I have NCM but I'm not sure if you need it. It shows all the switches in the stack (it numbers them in the Switch Number column and displays the serial number.
-
I've upgraded to HF3 and it now works again. Thanks!
-
Thanks mate. I will log a ticket when I can - I just need to be given access on the account here.

I'm not sure what your question is. In your original post, I wouldn't say the data was incorrect. It would all depend on your office hours which you haven't specified. And even if you set your traffic for the last 24hrs, the time stamp is still going to be out unless you set it for your correct time zone.
-
Ah ok, I'll stop looking at trying to hide them then in that case It would be good to have them totally hidden. As I've set them to 'Hide', then I don't see any point in having the folders displayed. It's not a big deal but seeing the folders may arouse some people's curiosities. Thanks!
-
To answer your first questions, yes you would need to setup 2 dependencies. One with the firewall as parent, the other with the core switch as the parent. When you get the down notifications, do they all come at the same time? Can you show us your dependency setup?
-
Have you looked on the device's logs? I've got this on a Cisco 3750 stack currently and it keeps logging SNMP messages. So for this one I'm upgrading the IOS which should hopefully fix the SNMP engine on it. And depending on what device it is, you may be able to restart the SNMP engine on it. I did try this on my Cisco…

This just add a link to an external website thus only showing that external website when you click on it. I think the OP wants to embed an external website within another view. That doesn't seem to be possible - you could do a feature request for it. If the external website is a gif you could view it using the Atlas.…
