Groovy, hope it works Just kidding, it will work. Just mark this as answered once you're happy with the outcome. Thanks.

I'm sure I would've missed it too! Glad you got it sorted

Wow that is weird. Have you tried changing the switch IP address? Another thing would be to swap supervisor modules with a unit that is fine. It still sounds like a switch issue to me. I know Cisco have said all is ok but there's something weird about it. You've done everything as you normally would. Be good if Cisco would…

The above posted link does contain all the information on how to create a map. But basically you can either get it to autodraw a map for you or just make one yourself. To make one yourself, open a New map and drag in the nodes you wish to display on this map. You then use the "straight line" button and create a line…

Haha, that takes me back!

atkinsd wrote: I at least made some progress. Thank you. I am guessing it is the "configs from selected nodes" or search all configs that present the problem? I did a search for configs over the past week and it produced an answer. Thanks for the assistance. Got any ideas of how to search the configuration database for…

I was wondering how you were doing your testing as if you are testing it against another device, you may see incorrect values being returned. But I see your poller is working so that's fine, just need to fine tune your email. I did some testing with my own pollers and found the following worked for me. Change the Type of…

There is no apply button. What I've described in my previous post, is how you save changes to the default settings. You need to make your changes, then come back to the screen you've posted up and highlight Default Settings and press save. If it still reverts back after that, then the only thing I can think of is that you…

In RTCD you can set it up so that it lets you know how made the change. See here for more info. Re: NCM- Realtime Config Change Detection- Usernames Not

Unfortunately I don't use that function so hopefully someone else may be able to offer some suggestions as to why it doesn't work.
-
Did you try my second suggestion (what is in the image I posted)?
-
Use syslog alerting and SNMP alerting for power supply issues.
-
You can schedule the reports as per kweise's post. You could also custom tune it by creating your own report and adding extra settings to the window below.
-
If they don't show up by default, you'd have to try and create your own custom poller for it.
-
Correct, I don't bother to monitor ports that have general pc's plugged into them.
-
No, the alert will trigger a event log message. On your WLC5520 node summary page, can you see all the associated AP's with it?
-
Now it all makes sense! Very clever. Thanks
-
How much time are you allowing it to take?
-
I would expect that you'd see the same info on both version's charts. But as they are both old versions, I'm not sure what they would show. Let's say a 2 Mbps link was incorrectly setup in Solarwinds as a 1 Mbps link, I would expect to see the link spike to 200% as at 100% it should be only running at 1 Mbps. I would…

What do you have for the reply address in the 'From E-Mail Account' section?
-
I agree with @"acf6276" in that you should upgrade the IOS first.
-
I don't disagree but until the software can do it, you can see if they'll add it in by voting on a feature request for it. Let us know how you go.
-
Couldn't you just use NCM for this? Create a script to run the command and select the devices you wish to run it on.
-
Does this only happen on VLAN's?
-
I'm using NCM 7.6 so it may be different but go into Edit report. Then in the Layout Builder section click on the highlighted Edit button. Then in Selection Method select either Specific Objects (just tick Cisco) or Dynamic Query Builder and create a query to show the info you're looking for.
-
In the NCM job just tick this box in the email details section.
-
Good call! Yeah the Follow button doesn't exactly scream Add as Friend

Advanced Alert Manager now comes with a buildin rule called "Alert me when a neighbor goes down" Another option is to use the syslog viewer to report on these routing changes. As long as a syslog is recorded, you can send yourself an alert email etc. I use this option to report on my BGP links.
