Personally I prefer the option of manually adding in the node into NCM. There are plenty of nodes I don't want into NCM. And to combat the forgetful staff that don't add in node into NCM (if it should be in there), I periodically look into here and scan through all the No ones. I know this doesn't help you but just because…

If it was working and then it stopped, something has changed. Could be that credentials have expired/changed, a firewall has been installed etc. Have you tried to manually SSH to the device in question from the Poller? Does it work?

Download Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.8 SP1 from Official Microsoft Download Center

Hi, if this has fixed your issue can you please mark it as answered Thanks.

You already said it was cool back in 2015 when this thread was started

Excellent. Glad to help.

I'm not sure if you can do it with IPmonitor but you can do it with the Advanced Alert Manager. I have mine set up as per image below. So after the device is above 300ms for 5 mins, I will get an email alert. For the reset condition you can use something like Average Response Time is less than 100ms.

You can just do the upgrades in stages. When I had to do 17 steps of upgrades, I just scheduled an outage window each night and did as many of the upgrades as I could within that time window. The new (NPM 12.2) installer seems to be much quicker.

I had a look and I can't work it out either. Maybe you could make a feature request for this.

Ah yeah, that's right. I ended up adding .0 to the end of some of mine to get them working. Glad you got it working!

There's an easier way. Just open Syslog Viewer on the Solarwinds server and see if your syslog messages are coming in. If they are then all is good. If not, then the device is not sending them correctly or it's getting blocked upstream. The OP had the syslog messages coming in but as the IP addresses differed, the…

Look into groups and dependencies.

I would agree with this. You have to decide what's really important. You could still receive all of them as emails but filter out the "not so important" ones into a separate folder.

In other words you can't create a Reat-Time action item for a certain vendor and then create a new one for another vendor. At least I couldn't and Support said I was unable to at the time we enabled it. To resolve this I just modified…

If the user doesn't have a logon on the Orion box, it should use the DirectLink user account. Is yours enabled?

Most to me look like they've removed the name and substituted it with something generic, I know I did. But even if you knew my Solarwinds server name, what difference would that make?

I agree with this ^^ Suppress in the trigger works well.

ding no one has contacted me yet about the case I logged for this. I logged it as high almost 24 hours ago. When should I expect them to contact me? Thanks.

I've not applied the Hotfix as yet but I've just noticed that my subnets have started scanning again?! When I look at all the subnets, the last discovery data is still set to 16/12/17 or 17/12/17. When I look at the scan job status I see that the Last Discovery is still set to 16/12/17 or 17/12/17 But when I then look…

After coming across this thread I just checked mine and my last discovery was 17/12/17 which was the date I last ran an update on my Solarwinds environment to install VMan 8.1. Has anyone got the scanning working again? I haven't installed the hotfix as yet but after reading some of the comments here, I'm not sure if…

I use this option, works well.

All you need to do is edit your current page and add in the "Report from Orion Report Writer" resource and save that. Then you see this on your page Then click on Select a report and find the report you wish to see in this view. That's it

chira wrote: Hello, how to add a CLI credential or the SNMP Read/Write credential? I just replied to this message in your other thread. But basically add the node into NPM which is where you assign the CLI & SNMP credentials.

The Network Latency and Packet Loss is calculated by using ping. It does not use SNMP.

What sort of device is it? Can you please show me the output of when you telnet to the device and also a screenshot of the connection profile settings.

Richard is correct. It will only trigger again if you clear the Alert which you can do on the server in Advanced Alert Manager. Click on View and select Active Alerts. Then find the alert you wish to clear and click on the X on the right hand side. Once cleared, it will trigger the alert again.
