This was a tough one. I've only seen bits and pieces of Almost Famous and never seen the Thing That You Do but I liked both songs equally. In the end, Fever Dog won.

As mentioned before Which...has - singular Which...have - plural Maybe the poor grammar lies with you there chief?

Yup I've noticed that call centre have a high turnover of staff. The staff are watched like a hawk. There's no way I could do that role where I have to account for every single minute in the day.

That's not what I'm looking for. It would be good to select a node and then see which Advanced Alert are applicable to this node. All my alerts include node details otherwise it would be a pretty pointless alert

It hasn't finished yet

Dez FTW!

Best wishes for the trip! Look forward to reading about it.

You're older than me When I started we were selling XT's 8086 or 8088 and 286's with DOS 3.2. I still remember when 'extended' memory first came out. That was huge! My CNE was in 3.11 and 2.2. I did do the upgrade to 4 but we never rolled it out at work, instead we went with Windows NT 3.51. So I got a MCSE in NT4 and then…

Yeah what Mike said. I use Syslog alerting for BGP flaps. I tried it with Advanced Alert Manager but it was useless as it can't poll often enough.

I think any major application needs to have the correct monitoring tools to make sure you can meet SLA's. Unfortunately it usually it takes a catastrophic failure of some description before people realise this. We have moved away from Exchange to Google Mail. I do miss Outlook.

Can't believe tomaddox predicted the final. Well done!

These issues even existed before IoT. My old cassette tapes don't serve any purpose these days. The kids are fascinated by them though

Mission complete! This one was totally groovy!! I love the reference to my own name in the mission description "We have to say it—it’s one super fly mission with some bad mama jama prizes. Let’s get started and let the good times roll."

Having started in IT back in 89, I remember that I had to remember everything. Or at least write it down and file it somewhere where I could find it easily. But nowadays it is so much simpler. I just need to remember where I need to find all the information I need. Answer is The Internet

Congrats! Enjoy the pizza and swag!

Captain Awesome, absolutely classic.

I had a red X for question 5 on Friday but today I noticed it has been reset! I guess there must've been some issues with it. Anyways answered it correctly today

Another great mission! Thanks for all the time and effort that is put into these. And all the awesome prizes. Even though I'm not eligible, I don't know who else out there puts in this much effort.

Try to do my best whilst the lights are out!

Thanks for another great year. Bring on this one!

Wyld Stallyns!!! Or should I say KISS!!
-
I’ve just put in my order! Thanks!

Never heard of him.

I unfortunately voted for Jessie as he was better than the competition he faces but he should not have gotten up this far. Spinal Tap would have seen them drop out early.

It was a special sewing machine foot operated mouse

Yeah I disagree as well. Apple are just trying to protect what they've invented. Besides FBI have now found a way in with outsiders (read hackers) help. So it's all done and dusted. Was an interesting case though.

The south island in NZ is awesome. Bit colder than Brisbane but absolutely stunning.

I filled out the survey but didn't suggest any prizes as I thought I wasn't eligible anyways. But seems like you read my mind with this month's prize. I love my music. If ever I could only take one gadget with me, my ipod classic would win everytime. Can't live without music. Rock on!

I totally by accident came to work in the computer industry. I'd finished school in 87 and did a "travel course". Of course I couldn't get a job anymore as I didn't have the 3 year experience they all seemed to require. So then in early 1989, I applied for a computer sales person job. I had zero computer knowledge at this…
