I know this is late (been away for work a lot recently) but my Mum never had anything to do with me getting into IT. In fact, she doesn't even know how to use a computer and still only uses a basic phone. You know, the one that just makes phonecalls? But Mum did raise me and taught me lots of other stuff which probably all…

Nice new mission! I like the reference to Vanilla Ice. Rock on

The network here gets blamed far too often for problems and 9 out of 10 times, it's an application issue. But we always have to prove the network is fine. Even when we show where the bottleneck is, they'll still try and blame the network. It's a never ending battle.

You guys are doing an excellent job! Big thumbs up from me

Happy IT PRO DAY!!! High fives all round.

This is awesome. I've been waiting for NPM 12. I've never loaded 11.5. So it's straight to 12. Will do it in the near future. Thanks for making an awesome product even better!

Hooray for mini mission! I will have to make some time to watch Lab89. I'm keen to see what orion maps can do now.
-
Thanks maria.bungau! I did spend about 15 minutes on it trying all sorts of alternatives but as the answer seemed so obvious I thought I'd better check to make sure the question was all good.
-
Cool. You obviously have too much time on your hands

Haha, July 21st's question was a classic. I learned a lot reading up on AppInsight. Good work.

I've just started using LA and I can't do a simple thing like forward a syslog to an email. Yes I can create the rule to fire off an alert, but I can't attach the actual syslog message to my alert. Here's my thread on this. Syslogs in NPM 12.5 Also in the past I was using syslog for instant alerting on link flapping. How…

I use one main dashboard that gives a good overview of the whole network - easy to see when something is down or there are issues. Then I have other dashboard for other teams showing what's more relevant to them.

I think Spinal Tap will be facing off with the Blues Brothers next round. That will be a tough call.

Happy days.

My favourite is this ticket I got some years ago that stated "User called back, machine is now throwing up" I still to this day have no idea what the user meant

I missed out on voting this round, I was on holidays. Good to see Leela get on top. I don't have a favourite out of America and Marvel.

I'm looking forward to another great bunch of topics to be discussed. Unfortunately my timezone has not allowed me to attend all the Thwackcamps since 2012. I've made the start of some of them but my fondest memory is still is attending Thwackcamp in person in 2017. My first time in America was an amazing experience, one…

All the things you've mentioned, are what we currently do. Our setup is pretty well streamlined and user experience rating is getting higher and higher.

This is one of the things that has started to annoy me about these missions, all whingers whinging when they get a question wrong. This is a free competition. Unfortunately you don't always get everything right. It's the way of the world. You really need to harden up.

I'm really not sure what the future will hold for me. It will all depend on where I'm working. I've been doing contracting now for almost 2 years and each role has some different about it. However I'd really like to do my CCNA. I've been talking about it for years and moreso since contracting. In my fulltime job I didn't…

Another fantastic year has passed at Thwack! Thanks for the memories, and here's to creating new ones for 2016. Thanks for the bobblehead too! I see "myself" in the bobblehead group
-
Haha! I've got number 2 covered. Number 3 will always needs some fine tuning and I don't really have an issue with number 1. Here's to a great 2016. 1 months is almost down already.

Wow this takes me back. After school, I had no idea what I wanted to do. After a year or so in 1989 I got a job as a computer sales person. I had no idea about computers whatsoever nor were they of interest to me! They still aren't I learned everything on the job starting with DOS 3.2 and 20mb hard drives. It became…

Sweeeeeeeeet! 5 out 5. Rock on.

Completed! I was away last week so I've just caught up. Good times
-
Great read! Dubai is on my list to visit one day but I'm not sure if I'll ever make it there.
-
I just did all the questions - catching up!!! And got all green ticks so I think all questions and hints were just fine.

Try again later today. It becomes active according to CST time.
