I hope not!! I'm not liking what's been done to Syslog Viewer (which is/was one of my favourite parts of NPM) and I'll be most disappointed if Atlas meets the same fate. The new Orion map is not flexible at all and cumbersome to use at this point in time.

We do use VoIP for all of our sites but we don't use IP SLA much at all. I agree. SNMP is quick and easy to setup. It does the job ok. And I also do a lot of my monitoring via logs.

My network is lucky to have me as it's administrator due to - I keep it humming along optimally - cabling is neat and tidy - redundant gear is removed rather than keeping the data centre warm - issues are attended to swiftly (thanks to Solarwinds!) This stops the network form getting unruly
