Can't believe you're leaving!! Thanks for the memories and good luck for the future!

Wow can't believe it's been 20 years! I've been using the product for about 10 years and I still enjoy using it as much as the first day I laid eyes on it. I should've known it was close to 20 years. I remember DanielleH once randomly asking if someone knew when Thwack started. I said 2003 which was correct, so it's not…

Collaboration is key.

Same here! When I did my CNE, the internet was still not heard of. And a 40Mb hard drive was huuuuuuge!

You don't have to re-add the node into NPM to get the 'Add to NCM' option. Just go into Settings, NCM Settings and select Add or Manage Nodes. Then sort the 'Licensed by NCM' colum so you can see all the devices that say No. Then tick that device and click on Add Nodes to NCM button.

Done. The new demo site looks good. The only thing it lacks for me is admin access. Sometimes I want to look at things that require admin access. It would be great if somehow admin access could be provided.

Well said. I can't say that I enjoy reporting but management love it

Caffeine is always the answer!

There are some classic answers. One comp I'd love to pick all the funny answers rather than the correct ones I need a new egg timer, I'll buy DPA so I can use Response-Time Analysis to cook the perfect egg

You'll need to move

Good stuff! Congratulations.

All green this month :) Couple of curly ones but the answers are on the hints provided.

Thanks for sharing. I have to ask, how does one become a Cisco Champion?
-
I had no idea that happened. I can't read the article you've linked but I found this one. Google Maps is overrun with Pokémon for April Fools', and you can catch 'em all | The Verge Interesting that it's been around this long. I still can't believe the mass interest. Now whenever I see people walking around on their phone,…

Excuse my ignorance but I don't even know who Picard is.

Well said!

Wow! Easiest question ever!!!! Surely only the bacon lovers will get this wrong?!
-
Why is today's question challenging? The time might be a bit of but it was easy to answer. Eyes forward

I remember it well. I remember when the first AT (286) came out with 1Mb of ram. But yet programs were still running out of memory even once it was upgraded to 4Mb. Some craftiness in config.sys, allowed to make use of the extra memory. Now stuff just works

I think that's what it looks like will end up being.

I don't agree. I work in a network team and am not responsible for any server so SAM is a waste of time for me. But if we all become one big happy family and monitor everything using Solarwinds, then I can see the benefit.
-
And this was cable I removed recently in another data centre where all the servers had been removed but no one had bothered to clean up the cabling. It was not fun packing up all these cables!
-
I think the answer was pretty easy but I just did a google search to see which one went GA in November 2019.

All questions answered! May the best or luckiest person win

Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year! All the best

Totally agree. I do a fair bit of alerting using my syslog server. But these alerts are created after the issue has shown up. I monitor all BGP and OSPF alarms this way.
-
Love to help but I don't use SAM. Sorry.
-
Bouncing network devices is different to flapping links. Nodes are polled by default every 120 seconds. So you could lower your polling time to get a "down" email quicker. For the out-of-the-box BGP flapping alerting, you can use the Alert called "Neighbor is down". But using the alert engine will not show flapping…

I would love to come but being in Australia it's a little too far to go, let alone bring a friend

Finished! I had no idea what the last letter would be until now. I knew the second word but the first word had me stumped. Thanks for a great mission!
