I agree, I don't know how to do anything else I started by working for a computer store back in '89. I had no interest in computers at the time but the job sounded interesting. Lucky for me, they hired me!

ThwackCamp was great!!

I was surprised by this after I accidentally deleted a bunch of folders in IPAM. Was a major pain to get my data back without loosing historical stats.

Awesome! Some cool super powers out there.

I think that's fair that you may be liable if you're hacked. People are trusting their details with you so you should do everything possible to make sure it's protected.

Hooray. I recently missed a whole month challenge due to work! So I'm looking forward to cracking this one

We all love a good demo!!

Yup everything needs good planning. Even the cloud.

Generally speaking you should hard set full/100 and for 1Gb interfaces, leave it as auto. This post is back from 2007.

I know I'm late but one can never have too many followers right?!

Interesting read. I've never looked at the cloud in that fashion before. For my work, the reason for the cloud was simple - to save money. By outsourcing our servers, we can reduce staff numbers. Less staff means more money. But sometimes it seems they've jumped in too quickly as now they don't get the same response time…

This is definitely the toughest choice I've had to make!

About 23 years ago when coax cabling was all the rage, I helped setup a school lab where they insisted on doing their own cabling. So he bought a cable cutter and scrimping tool. I installed a server for him and connected it to a couple of work stations so that he could see how it all connected together. Showed him him to…

Done! Always happy to share my opinion on NPM and the other modules that I've used.

Yeah me too, I only just noticed this post. My family just says I work in IT.

Thanks Jiri.

These are great. My favourite is still "No, the Network is not down." I have to use that line lots and lots.

I'm blown away by the way this game has taken off. I will not be playing it but I'm astounded by the amount of people that do. And all the strange things that have occurred since this game came out. What Pokémon GO has to do with armed robbery and a dead body - CNN.com A work colleague said his son was lazy and used to…

Plug and Pray I remember those days. And also trying to find jumpers to use. Pesky little things always disappeared. Especially in schools. Which reminds me ot the students stealing the mouse balls.

I'm lucky in the sense that I only have 1 environment to look after so fine-tuning is always done. I personally rely on reports to be proactive rather than reactive. We also have a capacity manager that hooks into the Solarwinds stats. These people appreciate a good monitoring and reporting system. Makes their job a whole…

Number 5 is right on the money. Monitoring is always evolving.

I'm not sure why you didn't just use the hint link that was provided. It had the correct answer in there.

It's like the old saying "if they want something that badly, they will find a way".

Today's link doesn't work. It should be set to Page Speed Monitoring | Pingdom

Wow, I'm learning lots about Doctor Who. I've never watched and I still won't, but I'm certainly learning more about him.

In Q10 I can only pick 1 option but the question is asking for 2 answers. Can this please be fixed?

So glad the Blues Brothers got up. It's my favourite movie! I was sad to see Spinal Tap and the Wyld Stallyns go out.

Yup I would get a set too.
