Would this be different from the "List components with problems" variable that can be put into alert messages?
-
The guts for this functionality are certainly there... We have alerts that can be sent after a discovery job completes. And then Actions can be configured to send information, such as a report that shows recently discovered items or the results of a SWQL query that would show the latest discovery results.

Can't stop laughing.

Should this feature request be for a SWIS API extension that includes SWQL?
-
Adding the new dashboards to the left navigation panel would actually involve the same functionality as combining them on the same page with old widgets unless SW comes up with either: a (messy?) way to embed them, or a way to add custom links to the left navigation. That second approach would logically warrant a new…

We switch everyone's default browser to IceWeasel from Black Friday - Cyber Monday.

Thank you, @"Sudhakar.Ramakrishna". We appreciate the content and the intent of this message, and do look forward to reading continued in-depth updates (as much is allowed while the investigations continue). Many of us have long agreed that this community is one of the primary value-ads for SolarWinds' products. While many…

Added an actual FR in the NPM forum for this: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/NPM-Feature-Requests/Support-Win-RM-for-node-details-polling-in-NPM/idi-p/591823. Please vote!

Just shared this with our developers and data analytics team. They found "a few" opportunities.

The same nearly got me, but you're looking at Orion severity levels, which are distinct from VMware event categories. (Bummer!)

Shared by a colleague this week, with no apologies for the pun: "What do you call a group of eight hobbits?"

While a tiny part of me is disappointed to know that we shouldn't expect new features in SAM this year, I am still very excited to see this work being done. These are very important steps that in the end, will help make sure that both your company and my company stay out of the [breach] news! Will there be a clear…

Woah. My wife would love that mini mission shortcut prize. How funny would it be if I finally won one of these prizes and gave the first one away?

Sounds like a request to modify the visual layout, ordering, and grouping of custom properties on the node details page?

Done. Good questions. I'm curious if this is something that Solarwinds has been working on or is working on purchasing from somebody. Monitoring UCC is a complex job, with a lot of variables between different vendors. My org would probably be interested, but also probably would be hesitant to invest in an early release of…

Sweet, let's go! I hadn't noticed an announcement. Still no dice, though. (No, I literally mean there is not dice in the store yet!) Thanks, Thwack team!

No complaints here. The answer was in bold bullets when I clicked the working link.

Have you tried PerfStack?

In my experience, the challenges don't usually lay around having enough tools and resources as much as having a well-defined process that is then consistently used.

Many sysadmins will look and work exactly the same. Technology moves forward at a rapid pace, but all of our environments also have legacy technology that won't go anywhere for a long time. Many sysadmins get comfortable and do a fine job managing these types of systems and services. Those who tend to be lifelong learners,…

So much suspense with so many winners being selected today!

Thank you for using Open JDK instead of....other JDKs! ;)

Gold standard for sure! I've not encountered anything else like the THWACK community. Here's to 20 more years!

Sweet! Can't wait to dig into this. Thanks for sharing, designerfx!

Happy summer, everyone! Good luck on the quest for a few days off to enjoy the sun!

Hmmm, interesting. If you have more detail, it would be a great read. I'm having a hard time thinking of any ways that this tool would be able to make use of a specific algorithm or cryptography suite for the WinRM listener unless it was actually specifying a weak cipher for the certificate itself. Microsoft doesn't say…

Does "Validation of CIS IIS and SQL Server best practices" mean that the Orion installation will follow CIS benchmarks or will be able to audit and validate them in an environment?
