Fair enough.

So here's a little bit of SWQL code that will tell you all volumes (monitored or not) but what I can't see is a way to include what state they are in. SELECT cov.VolumeId ,cov.Caption ,cov.RawCaption ,cov.FullName ,cov.VolumeIndex ,cov.VolumeType_Value ,cov.VolumeType ,cov.PollingType_Value ,cov.PollingType…

We have a report that shows what has already been selected... The logic is quite straightforward: You just need to add on all the other aspects you want to pull back from the dropdown list, and then select appropriate fields in the edit resource section. If I get time I'll have a look at some SWQL for showing all possible…

I'm not sure what you mean by 'design related alert statistics' - can you re-explain?
-
Can you paste the actual code here please?
-
Location? As in a country or town or datacentre or ..? If so, create it as a custom property and detail it out that way.
-
Can you expand on what it is you are looking for? Have you tried anything yet? Are you looking for something like this:

Interesting question and one where I suspect (but don't know) that the answer is no. This is definitely a "reach out to my customer success manager" type of request. Let them go off and find an answer or a possible way forward.

You can easily put the query into a report which you have eMailed after your backups have completed each day/week/etc

I have a report we use that I shared here: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/content-exchange/the-orion-platform/m/reports/3313 It shows various bits that we find useful (i.e. machine type to see if it's a common issue across a specific vendor / type), but the key bits are Node name, IP, last running, last startup, error and…

Have you opened a ticket with support? They would be best placed to address this for you.

Nice... this eases a frustration of mine and I should have thought to use Notepad++. Diolch.

Not being a S(W)QL guru can I just confirm that the 2 in > (ie.ReceivePercentErrors > 2 or ie.TransmitPercentErrors > 2) is where the 2% comes from? So if we wanted to do this, we could say change the figures to 5 and get 5% ? Secondly, the "over a 30 minute period" comes from the "condition must exist for" section of…
But the fields are all Generated Properties and running the SELECT TOP 1000 SWQL query produces an error.
Do you mean when you right-click and "Generate Select Statement" ? If so, I also get an…

Also do note, that the heat maps are a "one and done". In other words, they show what their impression of coverage is like at the point of creation - they are not living maps that will show a change in coverage if an AP (or several) are down.
-
Thanks for the PowerShell as this is not something I can't do ... I'm hoping that's a "not do yet" kind of thing but trying to find time to even get the basics is not happening right now. A part of my role is AIS (acceptance into service) and I have a report that does something very similar but it narrows it down to the…

Is this what you are after: https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/core-orion-requirements-sw1916.htm

Same here - though of recent I have had to adapt the default template as running-configs started failing to download. Might be worth you checking that out to ensure yours is still working as expected. @"borgan" we just use AutoSSH and no enable for our Nexus boxes. Works a charm.

DB maintenance should not affect SolarWinds other than that some aspects may take a fraction longer to complete. When you say application was that all modules, just one and what about services, etc? If at all concerned I would raise a ticket with support.

I'm no genius, lol, but glad to have helped.

Yes, I should have expanded point 3 to be a bit clearer. You would need an "empty" or dummy action so you can go back to edit it. But I heartily agree with you that we SolarWinds needs a means to be able to edit an alert without it instantly re-triggering. Other tools that do a similar job can do that, so why so hard for…
-
Ahh - well in the scope you can either select all your nodes, or pick them based on common criteria which is typically a custom property or similar. Short, answer, yes that should work.
-
Have a look at this: https://www.networkcomputing.com/networking/simplifying-snmpv3/page/0/2 - it will explain it far better than I could but it essentially ups the security of the SNMP process another notch.
-
On the presumption you mean the alert "Trigger Condition", then you can't, as far as I know, edit definitions without it triggering. You can however edit the "trigger actions" - just navigate to 'Manage Alerts' and click the 2nd tab 'Action Manager'. And this doesn't re-trigger anything. Here's a thought though... if it is…

Something along the lines of the following should work. I don't have a node called paris or interfaces with those names, but as you type they should auto-populate. Adjust the contains / is equal to as best suits your environment. Si the scope is what objects you want to affect and the condition is what you want to happen…
-
Ouch - so far I've only had popups which I can dismiss. I did read that the popup was acknowledged as an issue and was being investigated. If you re-run the report, is the notice still there, and if so I would then open a ticket with support.
-
One other thought... fire up the Poller Checker Tool. Find your node and check the pollers against the EnergyWise section - see if any other options in there are more accurate. Here's what I get on our 1000's. ...so, that's a NO and no other possibilities. If we wanted to do this, then we'd need to build our own UnDPs.

We don't have any 9000's (only 1000 series) and all of them are owned/managed by ISPs. As such we only monitor routing, availability and up/down. But just checked and the 1000 series don't even have a checkbox for hardware health. That said, my observations from other Cisco kit that has "similar issues" is that we disable…
