That sounds like an alert is running to detect an interface that has been down for >24hrs is then unmanaged. That or a specialist script has been written and is triggering via a SAM template I'm no expert on SAM so I'd first check in "manage alerts" (All Settings > [Alerts & Reports] > Manage Alerts) and set the 'group by'…

Hey @"daraka" thanks for sharing but a couple of things to aid ... * Items like these are best share in the appropriate content exchange area and for reports that is: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/content-exchange/the-orion-platform/m/reports which you can navigate to via: * When sharing code, it is always best to post…

It smacks of permission issues - as in not enough. This article agrees: https://sqlbackupandftp.com/blog/how-to-solve-operating-system-error-3#:~:text=Operating%20system%20error%203%20(The,one%20or%20more%20root%20causes.

I'm going through this at the moment and am trialling SAM in our lab. You simply point the SSL Cert template at a relevant node, wait a few minutes and you'll see it added in SAM Summary. Easiest way I've found to do this (for existing nodes) so far is from a node summary page, as once SAM is installed you get an extra…

Ahh gotcha - sorry for the misunderstanding of your query. Again, I might be misunderstanding you, but you don't access the SWQL directly in SWQL Studio. You have to go and find the now imported dashboard and edit that, and then edit each widget to reveal the SWQL.
-
Hi .... First things first - get rid of IE as it is no longer a supported browser. I don't know if the end result of using another browser will solve it, but it is simple to try. Next, to be able to view the dashboard you need to add it. The way we do this is to add them to specific menus, e.g. To do that, I go to Settings…

Ah ha - gotcha. Thanks Chris.

Hey ... When I took, and thankfully passed, my NPM last year I was frustrated that it didn't show me a score. So I reached out to: certification@solarwinds.com and they sent me through a diagnostics report of my exam. It clearly showed my strengths and weaknesses. If you don't get a reply within a few days then message…

Hey there, In this instance Google really is your friend. A quick G show sme loads of resources for datasheets. Try this one for example: https://www.arubanetworks.com/assets/ds/DS_6200Series.pdf Also, both Aruba and HPE have dedicated forums where their own experts can answer your queries about their products. Good lick.

OOI, if the In / Out columns were left blank, would that essentially reset them to be managed by SolarWinds ?

Widgets are "page view" dependent. Meaning if you add the widget to a view, then it will show up for all nodes that use that view. Yes, you still need to know which views it has been added to, but we tend to tick to only using a few of the many views available: - so remembering where a widget is and which views to edit…

Let me state up front that I don't know the answer - far from even close to being proficient in S(W)QL - but I am interested in any response you get. My solution to date is to put each tech grouping into its own tab e.g.: At least when the resultant spreadsheet is generated then all Access Points are together. All H3C/HPE…

OOB I don't think there is but they are easy enough to create. Here's a screenshot of one of ours ... the logic on the right show when you click edit next to what we called WAN Traffic. You simply need to add in your appropriate arguments. Then in the Red boxed bit select your timescale from one of the default options or…

Those are both options, but in case your client doesn't like them then have a look at: https://sematext.com/blog/log-analysis-tools/

Additionally, it could be worth reaching out to the author of the referenced UnDP as he works for (at least he did then) Tripp Lite and might be able to help.
-
Did you also download the UnDP, install and test? It might be that the single and 3 phase use the same root OID. If it doesn't work, then you will need to find the relevant OID but at least you would have a starter for 10 using the above suggested UnDP.

As with @"LeBeauUK" I also recall it being asked for across several sessions at #SWUGLondon2023 Clearly there is a desire for it to be implemented, but as Martin points out they didn't seem willing to commit to when or even if it would happen. But as ever - Feature Requests is the place to ask for this.…

I don't have an answer, per se, for you but what we do in Atlas is to manually create each link and assign the relevant interfaces to each end. As I understand OM's capabilities at the moment (i.e. very poor vs Atlas) then this is not something you can yet do. Why the "auto-mapping" is not showing all the links, I don't…

My understanding is it comes down to what version you are running. IIRC, anything from 2022.3 means you are on HCO. The confusion I believe comes from anyone that uses perpetual licensing and thinking that HCO means you have moved to the new subscription model. That MAY come in future years, but for now HCO is just a…

If it is an HPE (as opposed to specifically HP) switch, then not all models have hardware health sensors. What is the model?

I passed the NPM Cert last September and have literally today, received an eMail form Credly saying my badge has been awarded!!!!

The talk is that 2023.2 will be going GA soon and probably within the next week or two. Highly unlikely that a 2023.1.2 will be released in the interim.

The plot thickens! [/quote]This KB…

I don't know that - you'd need to investigate the firewall to see what it is reporting. You could potentially do tcpdump or wireshark capture to determine what is 'peaking' - and then extrapolate form there. If you are asking what OID is being reported on, then I don't have that answer. Raising a ticket with support may…

You'd need to investigate the firewall for that info. Try these as a starter: https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Technical-Tip-Troubleshooting-IPsec-VPN-tunnel-errors-with-large/ta-p/194539 - or - https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Troubleshooting-Tip-IPsec-VPNs-tunnels/ta-p/195955
-
Bear in mind SolarWinds is only reporting what the node is passing to it. That said, it would be helpful if you tell us what type of firewall (male/model) as it could make a difference. Generically speaking though, transmit errors are typically due to "noise". Said noise can be caused by any number of factors from a dodgy…
-
p.s. your version numbers will be different as this is a 2022.4 setup.
-
If you can, it might be worth deleting one of the nodes, then re-adding to see if that works? I've certainly had similar issues but not poller wide that this has fixed. If that works, then you may just need to repair the Job Engine and Collector on that APE - go into Control Panel > Programs and Features and find the…

Hey ... your query is quite broad but let me try and narrow it down somewhat. So, if I understand your need, you can include maps into either Orion Maps or Network Atlas. Orion Maps is the future as NA is to be deprecated at some point and all you need here is a suitable map in JPeG, PNG or GIF format and under the map…

You are in the right location for the log files but it could be an issue with permissions. First thing you can do is run permissions checker. For hat, see here: https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Check-permissions-using-the-Orion-Permission-Checker?language=en_US Secondly, try one of the failing backups…
