Dpatz, We had to do the same thing. Did SW offer the fix like they did for us? We could, in theory turn this beast back on but I don't think we're going to benefit from it as much as others may.

I would love to see this as a feature. All of the 9k Nexus and now Catos later images support either Netconf or GRPC. The biggest advantage for me would be not having the need for sub minute polling one thousand of interfaces thus overwhelming NPM. It'd allow for near real time collecting of stats and more flexibility for…

If you're running a heavy polling multi-poller environment you may want to open a case with SW and have them check for the Multicast bug fix which applies the "buddy drop" behaviour. essentially what multicast polling does after the upgrade is punts all of the data to SQL server and lets SQL server process all of the data…

I would like to monitor all of the common problems like FCS, CRC and all of those things, however; In this question I'm specifically looking for input and output drops pertaining to Arista products. Solarwinds does a great job with Cisco IOS monitoring features but when diving into the…

If if you're upgrading from pre 10.0 version, check the documentation to make sure you can go straight to 11.5.2. Send me a PM if I can help any…

so I was thinking about this.. and you don't need the routing neighbors table to check whether or not your router has an ospf process running.. as long as your router or switch is being monitored by NPM for its routing table.. try this select distinct rp.displayname,n.sysname,n.dns,rn.nodeid from NPM_RoutingNeighbor rn…
